Canadian resident tickets?

this is what I found
“Experience 4 days of magic and thrills across the Walt Disney World theme parks when you purchase a specially priced 4-Park Magic Ticket starting from $99 USD per day, plus tax (total price starting from $396 USD, plus tax).

The 4-Park Magic Ticket includes one admission to each of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks—Magic Kingdom park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios—for a total of 4 admissions, on 4 separate days. Limit one admission per theme park, one theme park per day.

This ticket does not require a theme park reservation to enter a park.

Date-based ticket with start dates from April 2 through September 22, 2024. Ticket must be used within 7 days of selected start date.“

Two weeks away and now my son says he'd really like to go to a water park.

I purchased the 5-day Canadian Resident tickets, but I believe it only allows access to the 4 major parks, right? I would have had to add-on a WaterPark & More option when I purchased? Or am I (hopefully!) wrong and we can use one day at Typhoon Lagoon?

No, you can't use a major park admission for a waterpark. You should be able to add the Water Park and Sports option to your ticket (if it doesn't say non-upgradeable in the terms) by paying the current window price for the option (no discount). However, take a look at the cost of the upgrade versus just admission to a single water park for a day. It might be cheaper to just pay for a day at the water park. The single day water park is $74 (no blackout) or $64 (w blackout) and the WPS option is $70 for a 5-day ticket, so it is pretty much a wash, but better at the gate if your water park day isn't on a blackout date. However, if you have 5-day hoppers then the uplift to hopper plus is only $20 - well worth it.

Disney has never been known to turn down an opportunity to take in more of your money!

I believe Sept 10 is when the new discounts start. 25% off for Canadians for next year.

Yup, but this intrigues me:

" Savings vary between 25% and 33% depending on the selected start date."

I'd imagine the 33% must be for the least busy times?

not sure how many days you’ll have but the season pass for water parks is 79, which I think we will do since we can go several times

The Canadian ticket offer will be available on Sept 10, look on the "Special Offers" page of their site.
am I cutting it too close if our first park day is Sep 15? that’s my worry - but if we’re saving hundreds then I’ll wait

In that case it's unlikely that the deal will apply to your dates. This is what they currently have on the website:

Valid for ticket dates from November 10 through December 14, 2024, and January 5 through September 27, 2025.

With the last round of discounts I paid $591 for an 8 days park hopper for days at the end of September - early October. The regular is $739 if that helps.

The last round of Canadian resident tickets already covered that date, so sadly, I think it’s not worth waiting :(

Does anyone here know if we can book both the Canadian Resident ticket and room discount together online......or do I need to call them ?

I have my alarm set for 6:55 am tomorrow to try and upgrade our stay at Music to possibly Pop or AoA depending on price.

Will be buying park tickets regardless. Currently, it shows $596 usd for 4 day tickets for our dates in January. Hoping its a good savings.

Checked my dates - January 14-22. A total of 4 park days since my mom is a cast member and gave us some free tickets.

Prior to discount - 2 adults, 4 days, 1 park per day = $596 per person plus taxes.

After discount - 2 adults, 4 days, with hopper = $463 per person plus taxes.

Total savings - Approximately $370 Canadian

I booked the Cdn discounted room special this morning, and was able to add the tickets to the package and they were already discounted to the Cdn special price as well. This was for a February 2025 stay.

I had a Bounceback booked at a later date as a placeholder, but my DDs really wanted to go in Feb due to a birthday -- and the BB didn't cover most of the week we choose (family day/presidents week). This Cdn room offer was a much better deal for our particular dates.
