I have to say that I can't imagine there being 2 nicer, more supportive finalists than Theresa and Kalan.

I think Kalan's got quite a future ahead of him. I found Theresa's reaction quite interesting - I was expecting a mixture of disappointment and support for Kalan, I wasn't expecting the sheer joy she seemed to be feeling. I think she needs a little more fine tuning, just mainly for consistency, and then she's on her way as well. I'd be very surprised if she doesn't end up with a record deal.

And I suddenly felt very old tonight. As I watched the finale I thought that yes, Kalan has quite a bit of marketing potential. He's a definite cross between sweet & sensitive with a streak of bad boy in him. And I thought that yep, he's kinda cute and in my younger days I would definitely have been a REAL fan. After all, he's 18 right?

And it was at that point that it hit me - I'm almost twice his age. TWICE his age. When did that happen?

Anyway, congratulations to both Kalan and Theresa, I'm sure they'll both go quite far. And good luck to Kalan in World Idol, whenever that's on!

Wasn't that such an emotional show? I thought it was extremely well put together. One of the best Canadian performance shows I've ever seen.

I wasn't surprised to see Kalan win, but in my heart-of-hearts I really wanted to see Jacob Hoggard win! I believe he has incredible talent and I expect to see great things from him...

I don't think Jacob wanted to be caught dead singing the idol song!!!

damo, I know you're right...with all the controversy over him wanting it/not wanting it, I believe he'll be fine and probably bigger than any of the others!
