Does anyone have a link to online research sites? I am trying to find information about my mother's relatives. Most of them settled in Parker's cove Granville and Anapolis area of Nova Scotia. I havent found much and most of the older relatives are long gone. I managed to track down a cousin of hers a couple years back but she had alzheimers so not much help. We found a poem my great grandmother wrote about her brother who was lost at sea at 22 years old just before Christmas 1912. It is strange to think I have relatives living in Canada and we have never met. It would be funny if any of them were here on Dis! I am researching Longmire and Robinson family trees.
Thanks! pirate:

Yes.My mothers grandparents came from Great Britain to Canada with several other families. Some stayed in Nova Scotia , some settled in Maine and the rest ended up in Mass where I live. I would love to know why they left and why they moved and all. They were mostly fisherman and farmers. I did find a Longmire jeweler in UK but I have no idea if it is a relative or not. I tried Latter Day saints. They have nothing on any part of my family but would like a copy of my tree when I get it done.
Thanks for your help.

Hi, snowwite. You need the Nova Scotia Public Archives! They have lots of stuff. Here's a link to some of their online resources:

Happy hunting. I can almost see the Public Archives building from where I'm typing this... but that's too tantalizing to tell you, isn't it! Let us know what you find.
I would love to come back up and look in person.I found out my great uncle is on a memorial for sailors lost to see up in Digby. Funny though there have been sailors (including my Navy dad and Marine hubby) but I get absolutely green on a boat. We took the cat from Bar Harbor to Nova Scotia last fall and I was sooooo wicked sick!
