we signed up at blt in april...so we havent done our first trip home yet. just wanted to let you know that your rep will be very helpful. we had dave adn he was awesome!!! he gave us two pointers, one for blt and one for ap's. he told us for blt unless you desperatley want to, only go with lake view vs mk view and it will save points big time. like he said during the day youre only going to see the parking lot anyways! as for the ap's he said not to upgrade the last trip, but wait til our first visit down next year, then go one week earlier the next year. so we get two uses out of the passes.

two incentives we had when we signed on: they prorated last years points for us cus it was so close to june. or choose a free 3 nite disney cruise. we took the prorated points. also if you know anyone who was a member you could get a discount. at the current rate it was 19200 at blt for 160 points. i used one of my facebook peeps and we got 2 or 3000 off the 19200. that person also gets so much back from disney for each referral up to a total of 5 referrals a year i believe.

we are also basing our usage next year in a low period and since the kids are still small we will only need a studio. but yes if you are confused on anything, ask lots of questions! they will not berate you as some time share places do. and you'll walk away with either fast passes or a gift card at the end of the tour, just for going on the tour. oh! and if youre considering, take your passport with for a credit check...licences will not work for them. i wasted an hr going back to the hotel and back for this. grrr....but since we were there for 4-5 hrs runnig back and forth and credit check and discussing it plus the tour, dave was great enough to give us both items.
