just heard a rumour on the Canadian board that cast members at City Hall are exchanging Canadian dollars at par. Any chance this is true?

So would it be wise to bring a bunch of Canadian cash to change in to US in order to pay my meals? Can you confirm this promotion? I leave Monday for two weeks. Thanks for any help you can offer. It sounded like a too good to be true scenario. Would love to get confirmation.
