Canadian DISer's Weight Loss Get In Shape Thread

Just returned from Disney; had a wonderful time!! I'm so excited to tell you all that I am the EXACT SAME weight as I was when I left!! We were on the DP and I ate so much! However, we also did lots of walking and swimming in the usual DIS activities; plus my 2 DDs and I did take walks just about every morning. It really helped, b/c I really did enjoy all the food! Now it's going to be hard to get "back on track" as well as having the post-trip blues!!

Glad to hear that you had a great trip and that you survived the DDP with no weight gain!:cheer2:

Hey, I'm checking in for the weekly weigh-in. I am down 2 pounds this week which means I have lost 10 pounds total since I started my new eating and exercise regime.:cheer2:

I don't have a scale at home....I usually weigh myself at work, but I didn't go to work last night as there was a fire in my condo yesterday! But have no fear....my unit is just fine - it was just a huge inconvenience because I was kicked out of my unit for about 3 hours - and since I work nights, I couldn't sleep because of it, so I took the night off.

Anyways, I will weigh in later with all of you.....I hope everyone is doing great! Oh - and congrats Lifelong Dreamer!! Proud of all of you!!

Glad to hear that your unit was safe from the fire. That must have been pretty scary.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Three cheers to everyone! Congratualations to everyone for sticking to it and losing or maintaining (especially on the DDP ;) ).

I'm glad that the fire wasn't too serious ChrisJo.

No loss for me this week....but it's what I expected. Going away for the next week so I won't be able to check in. Good luck to everyone.

Boy I think I'm losing it:confused3 I was sure I posted yesterday and it was fairly lengthy but it must be in cyberspace somewhere:rotfl2: Anyway I was up .4 of a pound this week. I was expecting a much bigger gain so I'll take that and start fresh this week:banana: This is my "gaining" week so if I stay the same I'll be happy:woohoo: Congratulations to everyone  I love this checking in everyday and feeling a bit more accountable because I need to check in with someone other than myself:rolleyes1

Well at least I have been drinking more water the last two days. Still trying to watch what I am eating. I am still waiting for the Dr. to call me with the results of my tests so I can take my thyroid medicine.

Here is my tip of the day....if you like tea, try drinking a cup of green tea or oolong tea, both decaf, a day. They both have metabolic enhancing ingredients that help to speed it up! So, it helps to increase that metabolism that will help to lose that weight faster!

I said no to cookies last night at work....despite the fact that they looked SO GOOD and soft and absolutely yummy! Sometimes it's hard at work to say no, but I get one cheat day a week, and am I ever looking forward to it right now!

I hope everyones progress is going well. I weighed myself for fun this morning, and I'm already down a bit, but we will see what happens when Sunday comes along...

I went out to lunch with my dm today as usual. I had a grilled steak (steak on a bun but no bun) and salad with dressing on the side instead of fries. I had water to drink. It's funny but I was thinking that if I had the fries and I posted I would have to write that so I had the salad. Now I really do like salad so that wasn't a problem, but I only get fries once in a while when I do go out with my dm.

Everybody is entitled to a cheat day every now and then....deprive yourself of something that you really like, and you are bound to crave it, but giving yourself a cheat day once a week will curb those cravings. I cheat on Sunday...so all week when I see something that I really want to eat, I just remind myself of my success to date, and that Sunday will come sooner then later.

But, congrats on eating a healthy lunch....I had a healthy breakfast and now eating my snack. I ran 5 km and did weights today...now just getting ready for the night shift and will be back at it tomorrow!

Well we had pizza for supper and I indulged in three slices. I figure this is my treat night and with the extra walking I did I'm hoping it all equals out in the end:rolleyes1 .

I went to the gym today as well and did 30 min. on the treadmill and then did my weight training. I did have a little homemade cherry cheese cake (not the usual kind). That was my cheat. I made sure the rest of it was eaten up by the other guys here. That helps. If you have others who are willing to sacrifice and eat the things you really shouldn't have. LOL

LOL. That is so true. Yesterday my DD wanted to bake cookies for a neighbour that had broken her wrist. So we baked cinnamon buns and shortbread cookies. We packed up almost all of them for a few other neighbours also....instead of extra for DH and me;) .

Hi All ~ I've been so bad lately. But today, I'm back! I have to continue flooring my hall and plan to eat only veggies and fruits as a motivation! S
