Canadian Buffoon's Solo Disney Vacation - Update 07/08! pp99 - Here today gone tomorrow

...wanders in at not only the end of the Disney trip report but also after the T.O trip report is finished.... :tiptoe:

Oh! Hi Ponzi!! Don't mind me...I just left for a snack and got distracted by...stuff.

Hey! Susie Q! Where've you been!
Wow, some of my favourite people are coming back home to say hi. :goodvibes

I did finish both reports though!

Sorry to hear that.
You okay?
Or are you suffering from an overdose of cheap humour and schmarm?

My suggestion on weather or not to do a PTR...do one, but make it all up. That way we will be so very confused (more confused) when we're reading it :Ppopcorn::

:lmao: I like that idea! I just might do that!

I had a good time at it, my 20 year old DD, not so much. I really liked the little kids singing along. They really belted out the songs. So cute!

Hmmm.... I'm thinking I'll give it a miss then.
I can see this as really, really not being Kay's thing.

Okay! All caught up on the shout-outs!
Now I'm only behind on two or three TRs.

However, I am legally obligated to make the following post.
I don't normally do this sort of thing, but when in Rome...

Single digit dance day!!!! party:

Says the lady who's moving farther away from it!

Ooops...yes, I am. But not for over 12 months.

It really was good.
If someone was to give me just a plain ol' turkey sandwich... well... no thanks.

It really did look good.

It's my pie! Hands off!
Mine! Mine, I say!

Are we being a bit selfish?

That's perfectly okay.
Besides, I only got kicked out, it's not like I got arrested or anything.

Thank heaven.

Oh, goody.

You asked.

The Grand Marnier Slush is already very high on the list.
And if I have as many as you've indicated, I'll be very high too!

I wanted to be sure you knew HOW much I like them.

Popcorn on the list already too. We seem to be on the same page.

I would HOPE so.

Chocolate mousse in Norway. At Kringla I presume?
No coconut in that is there?

No coconut...trust me as I HATE coconut. And yes, at Kringla Bakery.

I've never heard of the Mickey Ice Cream Chocolate Cookie sundae
Whereabouts in AK is it?

Tamu Tamu Refreshments across from Tusker House in Africa.

Funny, I'm probably going to reverse your IASW and Figment suggestion.

You are a sick man.

Mini golf is a possibility, we have a free coupon.
Just don't know if we'll have the time.
We'll see.

We love doing it, but it is hard to find the time to do it.

Watched the Taiko drummers in February.
I must admit they were only moderately good.
Then again, we have a world class group here, so I'm biased.

Good enough explanation for me.

The Frozen Sing Along, huh?
Not just for the wee folk, is it?

I've gone twice...and there were lots of adults without children. Just hope you have a more willing to participate audience than we did the first time.

:rotfl:
Could you imagine taking one back like that?
That would be awesome. Just to see the reaction! :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Meh. He's only got to find his way around a track with only a pit exit.
I shouldn't have trusted him.
Good point!

That's awesome! Didn't you feel a little bit like you were part of the crew?
Not really. The yellow shirts didn't direct us toward the pagoda where they were supposed to when we entered pit road so we started walking around. Then I looked at DW and said "I don't think we're supposed to be here." We walked along pit road, kind of staying to the back away from the yellow shirts, grabbed a quick picture at Jeff Gordon's pit box and then we made our way back through the garage area. We watched Keselowski's car roll out right in front of us to go to tech inspection and then we just went back over on the right side of that chain link fence in the distance. It was cool to sneak around a little bit, but I also didn't want to push my luck and get tickets revoked or something.

Cool! How did they drive the golf carts?
:rotfl2: I don't know! Michael was the only driver or former driver that I actually saw! The starter told us that Tony Stewart was 3 groups ahead of us. Michael was playing 2 groups ahead of us and Denny Hamlin was with him. We never saw Denny though, just Michael. Michael was a courteous driver. If we could have gotten the carts up to speed I'd have gladly bump drafted him. Not many faster on the superspeedways than him!

I was so ready to fight!
Had my game face on and everything.
And then.... oh.
Kind of a relief... kind of a disappointment.

I do know about the Cantina Churritos. But first I have to have my first churro!
Oh, but they are churros now! They got rid of the churritos and went back to churros probably about a year ago. :thumbsup2

So exciting!! :hyper:

OMG I'm so excited for you!! BTW...Churros are good. That's all I have to add that hasn't already been said regarding food lol. Have an amazing time and also...don't melt :)

Ooops...yes, I am. But not for over 12 months.

And just how much travelling north are you planning on in that 12 month period????

:lmao:

Are we being a bit selfish?

mmmmm..... lobster.

Oh, wait. You said selfish, not shellfish.

And... yes.

You asked.

I did!
And I appreciate everyone who's taking the time to throw in their two cents.

I wanted to be sure you knew HOW much I like them.

Oh, I think that came through loud and clear!

No coconut...trust me as I HATE coconut. And yes, at Kringla Bakery.

Phew. Good.
I'll put it on the list!

You are a sick man.

Wait.
This comes as a surprise to you???

:rotfl:

I've gone twice...and there were lots of adults without children. Just hope you have a more willing to participate audience than we did the first time.

I still don't know... We'll see.

I see lots of people have made great suggestions on activities for your trip with Kay, so I'm sticking with the "snacks"

Try the cronut, it's a croissant, it's a doughnut, it's cinnamon shuggary bliss

Found at the Refreshment Port world Showcase, Epcot.
Then mail me one too while you're at it!

Also in Epcot, the Strawberry or Mango oolong tea slush found at the Joy of Tea in the China pavilion

Good stuff!

Are those available at DLR too!, it looks like heaven waiting to be devoured!

Ask the people who aren't reading here anymore!

Famine, Natural Disaster, Life outside these boards, broken computer are the reasons I am sure, your writing would not scare anybody off!

It can be as elaborate or as lite as you like.
Best thing about it is, you're in charge!

I like being the boss!

Well, you'll figure it out, I'm sure.

Sleep is overrated anyway.
(Says the guy who never gets enough...)

Sleezzzzzpzzz is zzzz ovzzzeerraaattzzzzeeedd. I'm sure if I want to do it, I will make it happen. Just need a little pixie dust and coffee to keep me going. :jumping1:

Still so cool. If a little unnerving.
At least that's how I felt.

Exactly!

Oh! So would you suggest those for a first timer?
Or try them only after having them elsewhere first?

OMG I'm so excited for you!! BTW...Churros are good. That's all I have to add that hasn't already been said regarding food lol. Have an amazing time and also...don't melt :)

Thanks Kathy!
And believe me... I am definitely worried about melting.

I don't know. Maybe @afwdwfan might know?

There ya go. You're halfway there.

::yes:: Or get a job that has slow night shifts.... :rolleyes1

Hey Ponz! -Sorry to be so late. I can't believe you didn't explore the entire Asian mall, just for research sake. :magnify: Oh you didn't have the girls with you? That explains it. Still, how will I know if I want to visit it when in Toronto?

Too fun you got to have a sort of race day.

For your next trip I suggest the Rice Dream in Norway, caramels in Germany and Gelato in Italy. So a European tour I guess.
Activities? You know I would say the balloon ride at DTD but it is hard to get Either early in the am or evening are the best times. Or maybe the new car boats at the Boathouse?

Of course since you have Kay you will need to go to Trend D! Have a great trip!

Are those available at DLR too!, it looks like heaven waiting to be devoured!
I don't know. Maybe @afwdwfan might know?
I don't know... I never saw them anywhere, so as far as I know, they don't. But I've been there once. There are others who might have a better idea than I.

Oh! So would you suggest those for a first timer?
Or try them only after having them elsewhere first?
I personally prefer these to the others. So I'd go here first. But it is all personal preference. You might like the other ones better. I guess the most important thing here is to just try both.

Or go with whatever is most convenient when the urge hits you that you want a churro.

I can therefore conclude that my scalp is to my hair as South Korea is to North Korea.

So the DMZ is enlarging steadily, then.

I tried!
But I couldn't see to find the danged phone! Let alone the optometrists number.

It’s your own fault…
There were ample warnings.

I've had/have a few friends with those.
While the guys get bugged ("How's your girl's car?"),
they all love their cars.

Yeah, I hear a few folks rattle that kind of stuff off about them as well.
Generally they’re the Lord Farquaad types…

Overcompensating for something.

Will it do 190? No but not living anywhere near Montana (with its unlimited speed limits), I don’t have many opportunities to drive 190, and track-day events aren’t what you’d call common in the US either.
An affordable, reliable, nimble open-air two-seater with good lines…
That’d work for me.

Yeah. If anyone tries to get her to Kaw or Rawr...
they'll be skewered by that eye rolling you mentioned earlier.

Might want to skip it then, ‘cause that’s pretty much the requirement for the first Merit Badge (sticker) when the CM is ‘Splainin’ it to ya’.

Or…
Go ahead and do it just to see how far those eyes will roll.

:lmao: That's funny! Where did you hear that one?!?!?

Some alley or other.
I remember that it needed sweeping out.

…I am legally obligated to make the following post.
I don't normally do this sort of thing, but when in Rome...

Single digit dance day!!!! party:

Cool! But, remember… I don’t dance.

Darth does though…

Hey Ponz! -Sorry to be so late.

Hi Tammie!

I can't believe you didn't explore the entire Asian mall, just for research sake.

Uh... no.
Just. No.

Oh you didn't have the girls with you? That explains it. Still, how will I know if I want to visit it when in Toronto?

Actually, Elle is more like me when it comes to malls.
Ruby and Kay, however...

Too fun you got to have a sort of race day.

::yes:: It was nice that Ruby's conference and the race happened to coincide.
I debated staying for the weekend and watching the race, but...
There's that whole "money" thing that comes into play, then.

For your next trip I suggest the Rice Dream in Norway, caramels in Germany and Gelato in Italy. So a European tour I guess.

Never heard of the Rice Dream. Looks interesting.
I don't like rice pudding though, so doubt I'll try it.
I like that European tour idea though!

Activities? You know I would say the balloon ride at DTD but it is hard to get Either early in the am or evening are the best times. Or maybe the new car boats at the Boathouse?

Early am just ain't gonna happen. I know that for a fact already.
Heck, I'm hoping to get her up before 10am!
The car boats look very cool, but I don't know if we'll make it to DTD or not.

Of course since you have Kay you will need to go to Trend D! Have a great trip!

Like I said, not likely to hit DTD... but you never know.
I'll be sure to steer her that way if we do!

I don't know... I never saw them anywhere, so as far as I know, they don't. But I've been there once. There are others who might have a better idea than I.

Oh, okay. Thanks anyway.

I personally prefer these to the others. So I'd go here first. But it is all personal preference. You might like the other ones better. I guess the most important thing here is to just try both.

Okay. Thanks for the heads up.

Or go with whatever is most convenient when the urge hits you that you want a churro.

I suspect that's exactly what will happen.
"Hey! They have churros here (wherever "here" happens to be) let's get some!"
