It sometimes feels that way in the summer for sure. With 105F and 100% humidity, it can get rough.

So with your heat wave, I'm guessing you are running your AC like we are?

And now. For your edification and amusement... pkondz's perfect winter.

September through October 30. Mid 70s.
October 31. High 70s throughout the evening for the trick or treaters.
November up to and including December 1st (when I hang my outdoor Xmas lights). Mid 70s.
December 2 to whenever Winter break is over (so the kids can tobbogan, skate, ski, snowboard (not boogie board), whatever). 10F.
Rest of winter until Spring/Summer. Mid 70s.

Yeah, sure. The polar ice cap will melt and all coastal cities in the world will be flooded.... but still.
It'd be nice for me, and that's all that matters, right?

Lost in Venice



Good to know I'm only eight pages behind. I will be totally *off* so bear with me. (Yes, I'm completely aware that I come across as *off* most of the time! )

I must share that this made me feel like I live a totally boring life, as I can't even explain to you how much enjoyment I got from the find the clock game.

Apparently, a worker, either unaware or forgetful of this fact was struck by one of the bronze figures and knocked off the building.
The world's first robot murder!

Man, that's an ugly death. Well much better than the excitement down in the square I suppose.


And it was so ridiculously slow, that I can only assume that the killed worker must've been hopelessly slow or bodily restrained.

So funny. Not his death of course - may he rest in peace.

Ah, well. The view was still magnificent.

The girls really wanted to do this, so I said we'd do it.

Except in Toronto where every time I pass a sightseeing bus I laugh and think what could they possibly be showing them? They are trapped in the gates of utter boredom.

But Venice, good on the girls and their persistence!

Lost in Venice




So... what can I say about our gondola ride?
Remember that web article?
Smelly?
Hot?
Slow?
Disappointing?

Our gondola ride was disappointing... but only because it was over so quickly!
It was easily the highlight of our stay in Venice.
It was romantic.
It was enchanting.
It was informative.
It was.... it was great.


Yeah!

I'm still cheering and smiling and I read this about two weeks ago.




Along the way, we crossed a couple of bridges with views of some of the leaning bell towers that dot the Venetian skyline.

Well I forgot to open another ___________ to keep track of the pictures. EDIT: I've been sitting here for ten minutes staring at the screen almost falling asleep waiting for my brain to fill in the blank. I give up. I can't even explain these past two weeks. Oh man.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that that picture, fingers crossed I have the right one, is beyond beautiful - just gorgeous. Well done.

Okay, I'm back to resume my part of the Pkondz-Buzz ping pong match. I didn't fall asleep until after I finished watching the episode of HoC, but I also had not been awake for 37 hours straight. Good grief, did you ever need to be unconscious!

I realize why you would want to call the boogie boards "snow boards", but the reality is that our boards have only once been used for snow ice and that was on Feb. 13th. They have, howvever, been used in the Atlantic Ocean more times than I can count.....coupled with the fact that they are decorated with tropical scenes, despite their one time snow use, they are/were boogie boards.

However, they were actually pretty scratched up by the snow ice. But what a way to go out! The kids had a terrific time!

And now I'm off with DD1 to a daisy(first level of girl scouts) cookie pick up party.

I also need to start doing ebay for all the stuff I have that's just sitting around collecting dust.

Do a search on the boards first, a lot of people are having big problems with the Disney savings program!!

I hate trying to keep up on my phone, and the IPad isn't much better! For the gorgeous pictures on this report you really need a big screen!
