What the heck is Canadian Bacon?!

I am a Canadian and have heard this term a lot down in the states, but almost never up in Canada. After hearing it numerous times in the states, I think I should finally try and find out what the stuff really is. Maybe you can help me out, what is Canadian Bacon?

Canadian Bacon isn't really from Canada XD I just discovered that...like a week ago.... I have no idea what that is or why they named it that :\

It's bacon not in the form of strips. It's also better for you than regular bacon. It kind of looks like mini-bologna. It's also REALLY good.

They are basically like ham. They come in little rounds and are very popular on pizzas and breakfast items...

I dont;t think I have ever had Canadian bacon, let alone seen it till that one picture...I would hav assumed it was rom Canada though, guess not.

It looks like ham/bologna and both of those make me want to be sick.

I like the maple smoked stuff from like Quebec or wherever.

My dad prefers buying turkey bacon, which is NASTY.
