Canadaaaaaaaa,..=d

If those are chocolate covered pretzles, absolutely. If not, keep workin on it Jaimie. ;)

I like your national anthem tho! I want to go to Canada one day, attend a sporting event and hear the anthem.

BTW, are ya'll really all lumberjacks who roll on logs, wear plaid shirts, and eat pancakes with their homemade syrup all day?
;) :p

You wuoldn't like the national anthem if you heard it every day at school.
I like it better in French, I enjoy singing it.

I have real issues with stereotypes against Canada. If you listen to Canadian Idiot by Weird Al, it has most of them down pat in there.

I live in a house. It does get hot in the summer. I've never seen a polar bear ANYWHERE (like IRL). And beavers, y'know they tend to live in lakes.

While I don't love hockey, and I know a lot of people who don't... it's usually safe to assume the male population does. Seriously, that year when the NHL was on strike, people were having this huge kerfluffle, like it was the end of the world.

yes.. xD In a mile area, i have 5 Tim Hortons.

My dads friend is a mountie and Ive only seen him once in the full uniform with the funny hat and the horse.
They dont gallop around everywhere.. XD

Yeah I think they all think we're from newfoundland.
People from newfoundland talk funny.

However I live in Ontario. And I saw a-bow-t.
We usually have jokes about newfoundlians. XD

Ah, the good ol' Newfies.
God love em'.
I love their accents, it makes them sound cluelessly cute (trust me though, they aren't. Just because they don't speak properly doesn't mean they're clueless).
And yes, those jokes are rather prevalent. Buddie What's His Name and the Other Fella's is a comedy group that makes fun of Newfies.

oh my goodess!!!
I live so close to Clifton hill
thats where the chocolate was right?
Hershey Factory?
:]

yeah man!!!!!
the hershey chocolate factory!!
i looove going to Clifton Hill! it's so much fun XD

Well.. I live in Canada..

1. We don't say "eh"
2. We don't live in igloos
3. We don't live for hockey
4. i have never seen a wild moose or beaver

I feel like on television we get made fun of alot..

Family guy..
A bunch of other shows the answer to the problem is always, "I was in Canada"

or If you wanted to run away from some one its, "Lets go to canada"

We dont live in a barren wasteland :P
We have functioning traffic lights.
My cousin was even asked y someone in the states if we had ROADS.
YES WE HAVE ROADS. ..
*sigh*

Oh well, can I entice you to Canada with THIS?
zvbggo.jpg

Chocolate factory in Niagara Falls..

Sorry, rant over :D
Do all you fancay americans have opinions on Canada? :cutie:

There's moose and beavers everywhere, they just aren't by cities. I hate how on the beer commercials it usually had something hockey related in it...
I know more stereotypes though...
We don't put maple syrup on everything
We don't hunt for our food
All we ever drink is beer
All the police ride horses
Our transportation is dog-sledding
It is always snowing.

And half of those don't make sense... but when I lived in Canada and traveled somewhere, people always asked those things.

im from Canada/am a canadian and some of the stereotypes are so wrong its funny :
-the only place in canada your can see a wild polar bear is way up north
-we dont eat maple syprup on everything, even tho our maple syrup is WAY better than anything the US has
-most canadians talk without an accent with the exception of people from Newfoundland and some parts of BC
-we DO NOT live in igloos or teepees
-we are not all lumberjacks, ive never even met a real lumberjack
-you can see moose and beavers in canada but not in the cities
-we only get snow in the winter
-we dont all rely on groundhogs
-despite what some people think canada is not small, its actually bgieer than ever country in the world except russia in size

sorry for the rant :)

Haha. I'm Canadian and I live in Canada. Toronto area. I'm in WDW right now and was really glad to see how they re-did the 'O Canada CircleVision show. It's got Martion Short in it =D and it shoots down stereotypes.... and Celine Dion (or rather, her male fans). O_o.

Eeee! Your in the Toronto area?! :D Same!

Yeah, the french version is way better.

Ugh, our hockey team sucks. The Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Leafs do suck, but I love em' regardless.
I have a thing against the Habs.

It seems every Canadian teen DISer is from the Toronto area (or close to).
I'm far far away in NB-land.

We're doing a cultural project with kids in Zoetermeer (Dutch city) and one of the projects is to do a stereotypes of Canada skit. The kids in the second period class actually got a shot of a deer outside the school xD
A moose would have been preferrable, but, it all works.

depending on where u live,

yes, they do say "eh". even i do (i have a bunch of canadian friends, it rubs off)

no, many dont see moose or beavers, just cuz they live where the animals dont.

that whole traffic light business, thats just lame.

I love Canada so much I wish I lived there... I live very near Canada (20 minutes away) and I love every aspect of it. I'm very jealous that you have Canadian chips I live for those things and alway get a bag when ever we got(like every other week) My dad says those jokes that they have on family guy and I find them quite annoying. The only differences are that you call the bathroom the toilet and thats really it and that its a different country do I need to say anymore

I'd much rather be thought of as a plaid-wearing, maple-syrup guzzling, beaver owning, lumberjacking hardcore hockey fan "eh" sayer than a rich, fat, lazy waste by everyone outside the US :P

And I'm gonna admit, when someone says "Canada" I picture maple syrup, plaid, and lumberjacks. Sorry, Jamie!

I WANT YOUR MAPLE SYRUP!

But really; you guys are cool.

1. MOOSE ARE MY FAVORITE ANIMAL.
2. I LOVE MAPLE SYRUP.

Not really.
I rarely say 'I have to go to the toilet'.
Actually, I've never heard anyone say that..
That doesn't sound right.
