Canada shipping from Disneyland

Hello, we recently returned from our trip to Disneyland. It was a good trip but we can't see ourselves returning for at least a few years (genie+ and reservations as well as MEGA crowds and ride breakdowns) just put a real damper on the trip. That being said we still love DL and would love to buy the Big Thunder Railroad Mini Backpack when it is released. Shipping seems unreasonable on Disney site. How do you as Canadians buy your disney merch? Is there a cheaper way or are we just having to pay astronomical prices (which brings me back into the parks lol).

It's been a long time since I've bought from Shop Disney, but because I live pretty close to the border, I ship parcels to an address in the US, and pick up from there. It's not worth it for me to buy from the US to pay their super expensive shipping rates and likely have to pay duty/handling fees too. You could try looking for parcel forwarders, but not sure it'd really be much more economical especially for just one item.

As an aside, we spent a few days in DL over March break and it was insanely crowded. We only did Genie + for one day as I was very annoyed at having to pay even more than we already had paid, yet it's almost a necessity with the crowds. Disney sure knows how to part me from my money. But anyway, although I would love to go back, or to WDW/Universal, DH is not on board at all, and I can't even really blame him.
