I was wondering....what happens if someone has purchased tickets on Canada 3000 and it goes bankrupt?
Is it better to book through a travel agent in cases like this. Do you have a better chance of getting your $$ back if you go through a TA than to book yourself online?
TIA

In the case of bankruptcy of an Ontario based supplier, you should be covered under the Travel Industry Act. If you have paid for your vacation by credit card, many times the credit card company will reverse the charges as well. If you are unsure as to whether you would be covered or not, check with your travel agent. If you have booked on your own, then you of course will be responsible for dealing with the company to try to get your money back, but if you have booked through a TA, they will help you with this.
