Can your recommend a hotel on Florida's east coast?

Not sure if this is the right forum to put this in....(posted in another forum also)

Looking for hotel recommendations for one night (mid week) for our trip home in late June. On the East Coast, ocean front, and a nice pool are all "required". Free breakfast is a plus. Looking for one between 1-3 hours northeast of Orlando.

As I'm sure you know as a veteran on these boards, you are asking a very open-ended question. There are hundreds of hotels which meet your requirements, even just limiting the range from Daytona Beach to Amelia Island. You may want to first decide if there is a specific area you want to visit, then do a TripAdvisor search for highly-rated hotels in that particular area.

Although it is hit or miss due to seasonal rates, you might want to take a look at Hammock Beach Resort near Palm Coast. It is very large and caters mostly to golfers. It has a nice pool complex, with a lazy river and water slide, a "beach" pool with sandy zero entry, etc. I don't believe they ever offer free breakfast, but there is a Publix supermarket at the entry to the resort where you can buy stuff to prepare in your room. (I think even the one-bedroom accomodations have a fridge, microwave, and a couple stoves, plus limited cook/kitchen ware.) I have stayed at Hammock Beach a few times for quick get-aways, but only when I can get a special rate.

As PP said Hammock Beach Resort is AWESOME!!! We love it there, great pools and beautiful resort! We also love Amelia Island Plantation (Omni) but it is much further (about 3 hours). We can make it Hammock in about 1 hr 15 min (from Celebration).
