I know that you're really not supposed to wear your wedding attire into the parks but I also know that they have quite a few weddings at Epcot. We are doing an intimite and want to have dinner at LeCellier afterwards and I'm planning to go in my dress. I asked the manager of the restaurant and he said he didn't see it being a problem but I'm nervous because I don't want to get there and have them turn me away at the gate. Does anyone else have experience with this or know first hand?? My wedding is 48 days away and I'm starting to panic

TIA

Hi stacy,

sorry, but AFAIK you will not be able to wear your dress into the park :guilty: . If you eat at one of the resort restaraunts or Downtown Disney restaraunts you would be allowed to, but not at one of the park venues.

HTH

Yup, sadly that's true:guilty: I read on here once about a girl who got denied at the gate & had to go back and change out of her dress to get into her in-park reception.

I wouldn't want to risk getting stressed or disappointed on my big day.....

You are better off either changing into another fancy dress for your Epcot meal or changing your meal to a Boardwalk restaurant or another resort.

Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC is supposed to be great, as well as the fancy restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin-all walking distance to Epcot.

HTH!!

If you were having a Wishes reception in park then of course you would be allowed to wear your dress, just like all the girls wear their dresses for dessert parties that are organized through DFTW.

Unfortunately you will not be allowed into Epcot in your dress. Only brides having a reception or dessert party with a Disney cast member as an escort coming in through the back would be allowed. Sorry. Have you thought of having dinner somewhere outside the park and then a dessert party?

it's no problem. I'm prepared to change I just would have worn my dress if possible. Do you know how dressed up I'm allowed to be???

Thank you all for your answers

I'm pretty sure you'd be ok wearing one of those short bridal dresses, you know the ones I mean, like Alfred Angelo has at least one...I mean, if you took off your veil (if you're wearing one), you could just keep your hair the way it is for the ceremony as well...

I think as long as the way you look doesn't scream "BRIDE!!!" you would be ok....you should ask your WC if you're allowed to wear a short white dress into the park for your dinner and see what she says..

I was told (by DFTW) the reason they don't allow women to wear their wedding dresses walking around the park is because of all the kids that would come up thinking they were a princess characters. Need I say more? They can't control people's friendliness and attitude if it's not their cast members (they can't even control that with their cast members :rotfl2: ) so it's understandable. Wouldn't want a stressed out Bridezilla cursing out a kid who rubbed her the wrong way because the kid thought she was a Disney character! :rotfl:

I believe you can wear your veil into the parks.

I thought also they don't allow wedding attire because they don't want to start having people just walk into the MK and bring a minister and get married in front of the castle. Although I supose you could do this while not in wedding attire.

I'm sure they also want you to buy the mk photo shoot in front of the castle and to do that you have to have a dftw...they're not stupid

the photo shoot in front of the magic castle is not required, from what i know, it's just an add on if you are having a disney wedding and want it ...
