We are having breakfast at the Kona Cafe before we go to MK. We were wondering if we could walk to MK when we were done. I would like to see the GF and the wedding chapel along the way (only seen it from the monorail window).

Is there a path we could follow all the way to MK?

As far as I know the Contemporary is the ONLY resort that has a walkway to MK.

If you stay at the Poly or the GF, you need to take the monorail to get to MK.

You can, however, was to the TTC from the Poly.

But I don't think that path takes you by the wedding pavilion. . .it is beside the GF, not the Poly.

You can walk from the Poly counterclockwise past the Contemporary to the MK, but you can not get to the MK clockwise by walking past the Grand Floridian. The path stops at a small canal where the Electric Light Barges are stored.

They did not put a bridge over that canal.

Yes, it is a beautiful walk.
Can you elaborate on where the walk is and which way it goes? I wasn't aware you could walk all the way to the MK from the Poly. I know you can walk from the Poly to the GF, but I didn't think there was a walk from the GF to the MK. You can walk from the Poly to the TTC, but whcih way would you walk from there and wouldn't you have to cross over roads? In any event it seems it would be a pretty long walk.

Anyway...............the boat from the Poly to the MK is very nice and the quickest way to go. That is what a bell services guy told us once on check in and after using both the monorail and the boat I have to agree.

but I didn't think there was a walk from the GF to the MK

If you were to walk from GF to MK, it would be reeeeally long and really not worth your time if you wanted to go into MK soon. It would require you to walk (as mentioned) counterclockwise past wedding pavilion, poly, TTC, and contemp.

The walk from poly to MK would also be quite long... you would also need to cross at least one street and travel through one tunnel.

I would suggest boat or monorail. Either method will make one stop at GF before bringing you to the MK.

I agree and I can't imagine why anyone would want to walk from the GF/Poly to the MK. Doesn't seem like it would be all that efficient or pleasant............unless we're missing something.

As for the boat to the MK from the Poly, when we were at the Poly in May the route was MK/GF/Poly/MK.............so if you got on the boat at the Poly the first stop was the MK. On the way back it stopped at the GF first.

I would suggest walking from the Polynesian to GF, checking out the wedding pavillion and then taking the monorail to MK. There is a path from the MK back towards GF but I don't believe it actually connects anywhere.

all I can say is Yikes!! you are much sturdier stock than me::yes:: ! even though it would be fun, I'd have to go back and nap before I even got to MK! i could be missing something ( no news there) but couldn't you just take the mono to Gf and get off and see it? or if you really want to walk to gf, get on mono/boat there and continue to MK?( i am thinking it goes mk,c,p,gf,mk? but don't usually take the mono to Mk)

The boat sounds like the best idea. I have never been to the GF or the Poly before, so I don't know the layout. They both look very beautiful in the pictures, and I can't wait for my breakfast at the Kono Cafe!

Thanks everyone!
