Hi, I am not staying at the Contemporary but we are having dinner at the CG one day and will be coming from the MK and returning there afterwards. Can you walk it? If so, how long will it take?

If not, do you take a bus or a monorail? Is there a monarail that goes directly from the MK to the CR, or do you have to switch at the TTC?

Thanks!

I may be wrong on this but, I think you may only park at the CR for a short while if you're dining there.

It is walking distance from CR to the MK but, if you're not staying there, I don't think you can park for long.

You can walk to/from the MK (about a 10 minute walk) or take the Resort monorail.

It's a very short walk to the Contemporary from the MK. I've done it several times; I believe it takes about 5 minutes.

Definitely walk- the monorail starts at the CR; then TTC; Poly; GF and then MK. The walk takes about 5-7 minutes. The CR is the first stop on the way out of the MK though.

You are being careful not to step on our brick aren't you? :rotfl:

Seriously, it is a 5-10 minute walk from MK to CR as previously stated. Of course you may need to add a few minutes if you've never done the walk so you can admire the landscaping, look for bricks on the "walk around the world" from your hometown, and stare at the CR from up close. Enjoy!

If you're going to the Contemporary from the MK, I suggest riding the monorail to the CR. It's the next stop, and after walking all day in the MK, you will appreciate the seat time. After your meal, walk back to the MK (5-10 minutes) as the monorail makes the entire loop around to the other resorts before arriving back at the park.

Can someone estimate the time it takes to make the full loop on the Monorail from Contemporary to MK. I am thinking about 20 - 25 minutes?? Am I close?

Give me a clue :paw: :)

I think it's less than that. Maybe 15 minutes. 25 minutes sounds very long.

We stayed at the CR twice in 2003; sometimes it took 20+ minutes, no kidding. The monorail would stop for longer than usual at the TTC or one of the hotels and it just got backed up. And if you are going in the AM, it can get VERY squishy!

The walk from MK to contemporary will take 5-15 minutes depending upon the speed you walk. But the ride on the monorail could take about the same amount of time. But if you have kids, they may like to ride the monorail, just to ride it. After eating, if you ride the monorail back to the MK, depending on the time of day, and the crowds, you can ask to ride in the front. That is loads of fun.

If I were staying at the CR during summer, I think I would opt to use the monorail. I think I would melt in the heat and will drain my energy and won't have enough strength left by the time I get to MK. The kids enjoy taking the monorail rather than the boat at the Poly. So my guess would be the monorail for us. The length of time to get to MK from CR is good to know.
