Can you walk from MK to Poly or do you need to take the monorail

Hi,

I was at WDW in Feb and can't remember if the only way from Poly to MK is by monorail or if you can walk over.

You could walk but it would be a long walk. Easier and faster to take the monorail.

A VERY VERY long walk...
but besides the monorail,and probably the bus, you can take the boat to the TTC and it's a short walk to Poly from there.

Thanks. I did take the monorail around to check out the monorail resorts and remember it only taking 5 minutes or so to get there.

If you are in to walking and want to take a stroll, you can always walk to the GF and then take the monorail from there to the MK. Sometimes when leaving the MK, my husb and I will walk to the CR, visit the shops there, and then take the monorail back to the Poly. There is no direct walkway around Seven Seas Lagoon.

You can't really walk...going around the lagoon toward the GF the sidewalk stops just past the GF where the Electrical Lights boats come out (they need to put in a bridge there).

There are no sidewalks at all walking around the other way -- you would be on the same roads as the buses and security would stop and pick you up.

Ferry and monorail are your only travel choices from Polynesian to MK. You can take one of the little ferry boats that stop at GF, Polynesian and then go to MK.

Walk right next door to the TTC and hop on the ferry to avoid the monorail crowd.

Better yet....walk to the end of the Polynesian dock and take the smaller ferry right to MK...much faster than the general all-purpose ferry. It lets you off in the area that is below the monorail station.
