Can you use your Magic Bands before checking in to a resort

Hi,

I will be staying at the Swan 2 days prior to our Disney Trip. I am scheduling an early ADR at Crystal Palace at Mk the day of our check in. Can I just go straight to the park before checking in or do I need to check in to activate my band with a cc.

You can't pay with a MagicBand until you check in for your resort stay and they verify your credit card. If you have a tickets linked to your account, you can use the MagicBands for park entry before check in.

I had a client that went straight to the parks and the couldn't use their magic band. They had to go to the resort and then back to the park.

Are you going to be using the dining plan? I think you have to check in at the resort for the dining plan to be activated.

You won't be able to charge back to your room either until you set that up.

You should be able to use it for park admittance, if that's all you need.

Has anyone done this successfully? We are driving from another part of Florida and want to go right to the park. We have Magic Bands with tickets linked and have scheduled FP+s. Want to know if we can go straight to the park or if we need to check-in first. Don't have dining plan. Thanks!
