Can you use the DDE card with DP?

I know that WDW doesn't allow 2 discounts, like the AAA discount on rooms along with free dining, but we are going in August with free dining and if we are at a restaurant and want to order some wine, can we use the DDE to pay for it and still get the discount? I haven't seen this question addressed yet.

Yes! YOu can be on the dining plan yet use your DDE card for anything you pay OOP.

Exactly. You can use your DDP for your main meal. You can then use the DDE for any that you are paying additional for--provided that you are at restaurants that participate with both plans. There are slight differences in the lists, so you might want to check.
