Can you use Disney Vacation Account to pay for a Costco booking?

Hi All,

I booked our cruise through Costco for the OBC. Our PIF date is not until October and I just recently heard about the Disney Vacation Account. Getting a $20 credit for every $1,000 spent through the account (especially when I am already going to use Target-bought GCs to deposit to the DVA) is awesome. My TA is able to use DVA to pay for our WDW trip, but does anyone know if Costco is able to use DVA for our cruise PIF payment just like a regular TA? I realize I could probably call Costco, but I cannot make personal calls at the office!

Yes you can

It sometimes feels a little confusing however once you get used to it, it works well. Since you already booked the cruise and went through Costco they have the reservation already (so that's already done). You would merely call up the specific DV Account number for DCL 1-800-511-9333 and tell them you are calling to make a payment using your DV account. They will ask for your reservation number and then process your payment. Every once in awhile you might get a c/m that says because you booked through a travel agency you need to call them, however just politely remind him/her the terms of the DV account state that you can't share your account number with anyone and states you must call directly to apply the payment which is what you are doing.

It's been my experience the payment made through DCL and the DV account takes a few hours to update on the Costco site if you were to log in and check there.

I've done this on several cruises and have not had any issues.
