I'm starting to plan a trip for Feb 2006 and I'm considering getting the dining plan. What I need to know is, can I use it on room service? We're planning to stay at the Yacht Club and my DS will be 12 months old at the time. I'm thinking I'm going to need to be flexible about eating and if I can use credits for room service, that will factor into my decision. I read the Disney Dining brochure, but I didn't see room service mentioned specifically. I'm sure someone here knows ;) Thanks!

Not on the basic meal plan, no. But you can if you get a "Platinum Package."

"With the Magic Your Way Platinum Package, you won't have to worry about how much you'll spend for each meal — even your gratuities are included where applicable. In fact, all you have to decide is what you want to eat and where! The Magic Your Way Platinum Package includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and one light snack per person, per night.

Choose from selected Walt Disney World® Resort table-service and counter-service restaurants including Signature Dining Experience restaurants, award winning Victoria & Albert's restaurant, room service, Disney Character dining, Disney dinner shows and more."

There's also a Premium Package with 3 meals a day, but no room service.

There are loads of other added extras included - shows, tours, viewing areas, sports, etc., and both plans are predictably expensive. Nice, but pricey.
