Can you use a family member's FP?

I'm sorry if this is already been answered I looked over the FP thread and couldn't find it. So my kids don't like to go on the "big" rides with us, at DL we get FP for everyone and then the adults can use the kids FP later. I'm thinking this won't work at DW? Is the FP assigned to the specific Magic Band, and no one else is able to use their FP?
I'm familiar with the Child Swap program and we do use that when available.

Does anyone know if you have RFIDs instead of Magic Bands, can you switch and use someone else's RFID just like the Magic Bands? I'm thinking of the situation at DHS where my wife may want to go on some nonfastpass attraction with the child whereas I'll be the only one wanting to go on a ride that needs the last FP+.

I know the RFID are linked by fingerprint on park entrance, but I assume there's no fingerprint or face linked to the RFID when you use it at an attraction?

you don't have to scan your fingerprint at the FP+ return stations. Just point your card/MB at the Mickey head, it turns green and off you go. You can swap bands/cards all you want.

Yes RFID cards work. But you do need an RFID device that is registered to that person.

We swapped around our MBs no problem on several trips this year. The grandmothers in our group don't do thrill rides so we had a bonus for someone else to use!

how did you do this with a magic band that wasn't even used for a park admission?

Last May, my husband and I were able to use our young son's fastpasses even though he was spending the evening at Simba's Cubhouse. We didn't have to scan his band into the park, as long as his Magic Band had a valid ticket for the day. We were nervous it wouldn't work if he hadn't been scanned in, but the Magic Bands don't seem to work that way. The fast passes aren't activated by the entrance scan.

I'm surprised this worked without them hitting the tapstile for entrance to the park that day.

FP usage is not linked to park entry. Only FP data is accessed at the FP tapstiles.
