can you use a Disney gift card for payment of CS?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but if you have a gift card purchased from a Disney Store at the mall, can you use this for CS meals? I know you can use Disney Dollars, but was wondering about the card.

Should be no problem. I think the only places that wouldn't be able to take the cards are the carts that take cash only.

I just did this in DLR with no problems. I could use my gift card everywhere but places that only took cash. A lot of the carts take cards now because of dining plan and room charging.

Just to add. You can also use Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club gift cards as well. We get a couple of Visa cards as gifts and use them quite liberally in the parks.

and just to be uber-sure... cards that were purchased at ANY disney store right, not at DTD or at the airport? I have 2 $25 cards that were collecting dust...if they can cover out CS meal, that will be the BEST!

I've been buying cards since I am horrible at saving! The cards do say can be used anywhere in Disney World on it.

I am bad at saving as well. What worked for me is buying a gift card at my local Disney Store and adding a bit every pay day. By the time we left for our trip we had saved up $400. They are reloadable
