I am planning a trip to IOA to see the WWOHP aging for a birthday gift. I already have a single day single park ticket and want to know if when I got there I wanted to add the other park or and extra day if that would be possible. What would the price be for one extra day at one park or adding both parks for two days.

as long as that single day ticket is not a complimentary one, you can upgrade it.

i was denied to upgrade an 'affinity-group type' one bought via heavy discount thru special ticketmaster link last year....serves me right for trying to save a few bucks lol

there are some ticket types that can not be upgraded.

if you paid nothing for the special ticket, you can not upgrade that.

tickets bought by other agents may have restrictions like keisha posted.

Such as the ones thats Coca-Cola rewards usually does in the fall. I have read so many threads of angry people... I mean comon! You got it for free, just take the answer of "no" and deal with it. One guy was even offered a "Rain check" ticket and he REFUSED. :sad2: If I'm lucky enough to be in a theme park, I'm lucky enough.

How about the AAA tickets? I bought tickets a long while back when they were $104 or $109 for a 7 day unlimited ticket. Do I have to upgrade the first day or anytime before the last? Will the office know exactly how much was paid and apply the full 104 or 109 to the annual pass price of 229?

Any ideas?

Jenn

Those tickets are nonexpiring until the first day used
So you should be fine and should not have to upgrade it cause the only ones that would need to be upgraded is the single day if you want to go more days :thumbsup2

use those $109 7 day tickets to get into the park.

sometime during that day, or before they expire, go to guest services and upgrade them.

i believe the current price will be what is applied towards the upgrade since they have been used at that point.
if i am wrong, i know a homie on these boards will correct me.

the preferred annual pass is more than $229.
you would be paying what the annual pass costs now.
i forget the cost as i do the renewal each year for mine.
thought someone mentioned the AP this year is up to about $280 or more with tax.
my renewal before the increase this past March 1st was $249 + tax.

re the AAA tix, i have 1 left from stash that i bought in '08 and 2 from '09 for...ahem...approx $70 each:)

i've called U directly (a few times:laughing:) and was told the problem with the AAA tix is that the specific multi-day, 7 day, both park tix is no longer sold (yes there are similar tix, but it's not the 'exact' same tix) so it clouds the picture re upgrades.

U confirmed that the tixs would be honored for admission 'whenever', but refused to indicate the current upgrade value. They have no system in place akin to WDW's where you can call/fax copies of tix to verify the current value/days remaining on a MYW tix.

I was told that the only way to determine what their trade value is would be to bring them to the gate and then they would look them up & determine their value. I was told that I could upgrade them to an AP renewal vs the ticketmaster type i referenced earlier. As mac suggested, it would be swell (as disney permits such as with discounted tix purchased thru UT, etc.) to be able to use them once and then upgrade later in the stay for current 7 day tix value...might be the best route to try!

btw, upgrading them probably falls under the courtesy accommodation category, if you read the fine print on the back of the tix.

I have kept the sales receipts of the AAA tix (as I would for any tix purchases outside the parks) but am very interested to hear from those who visit before me (this October) what assigned trade actually is.
