Can you upgrade passes that are part of a package?

O.K. I have the MYW + free dining on hold with DU for POR 10/3 - 10/8. I already have a trip planned for next Easter (might move to summer) and upgrading to PAP's would make a good deal for us. I'm a DVC member so we get significant discounts on PAP's, so a significant savings if I can upgrade. Has anyone done this? I'm sure you can add a day or an option while there, but I didn't know if you could upgrade entirely to a PAP or AP.

My reservation would be in two parts so I would have a day ticket for each. Would I get both tickets at the same time at checkin or when I checkin at my next hotel?

Don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that you can only "upgrade" one ticket per AP or PAP purchased. So even if you get both tickets when you check in for the first part of your reservation, you couldn't get credit for both tickets applied to the purchase of only one PAP, anyway.

If you have a split stay, then you get one ticket at each resort. The tickets are with your room key. So we did AKL and Poly in May. We still have both sets of room keys and each room key has a base ticket on it. I don't think that they can combine it. I made sure to put masking tape with notation on the top of each card to remind myself that we have park passes on each room key.

I was wondering this too, so I am bumping it up. We are going in August (too early for free dining ) on a package, and we too may want to upgrade our passes if it is possible.

For what its worth I know you couldnt upgrade last year. We did the package where you bought 4 days got three free. Or it was something like that. I think it was called the dream maker package last year. It was a package for 7 nights 8 days. I called to see if I could upgrade the tickets to an AP since we would be going again this year. I was told no because it was part of a package. If you booked your room and bought your tickets seperately you can upgrade but package tickets are only good for the package and no upgrade. As of last year anyway.
