Can you upgrade hopper pass to AP

I purchased a 9 day park hopper back in January and I was wondering if I can upgrade that to the platinum pass thats being offered to DVC members right now? If so can that be done over the phone or will I have to do it once we get into the parks?

Don't know about the DVC one but we've converted to the regular one. No, it can't be done over the phone, has to be done at GS. Don't have to go into the park, any ticket window can do it.

I called and was told you can do it in the parks as long as you do it before Jan 2018.

If the ticket has never been unused, yes.
If the ticket has been partially used, the upgrade must be done within 14 days of first use.
If all days have been used, the upgrade must be done before close of business on the day the last entitlement was used.

If so can that be done over the phone or will I have to do it once we get into the parks?

Must be done in person.
