You can transfer your reservation to a
Travel Agent from
DCL very easily. If there isn't anything wrong or mixed up with your original reservation, there's very little chance of a problem with it after it's transferred. If you need to make changes after it's transferred to a TA, just verify that it's correct using the same caution that you would anyway.
In January, I transferred two new reservations that I made directly with DCL for the $99 voucher offer over to the AAA office. They're professional people that handle cruises often and they did just fine with it. The only thing that changed was the agent info, the reservation number, the cabin number, and even our choice of main dining stayed exactly the same. In fact, they helped me make changes after the transfer and it worked out just fine.
The AAA refillable mug offer is for everyone that sails during the calendar year of 2002 and is good for one mug for each person that is on the reservation. When we sailed in January on the Magic, my DW and I both had a refillable mug as well as a certificate for a 10% discount for merchandise over $75 from one of the onboard shops and a 10% discount for equipment rentals on
Castaway Cay. We'll get the same benefits when we sail this fall with the $99 voucher.
It is generally considered unethical for one TA to take over a reservation directly from another TA. Most of them will insist that you have the reservation transferred back to DCL before they will take it over.
Hope that helps.
