Can you trade free Palo meal for something else?

Thanks for all the comments - the brunch does look more appealing than the dinner for us; but then when would I eat my chicken strips by the pool (I never outgrew the kid's menu) :)
We will ask at Guest Services and I will report back what they say. I expect nothing, which is totally fine - these are free perks and trust me, I am happy enough to be on a Disney cruise!!

At pretty much any other time? Those are easily found.

Go to brunch at 10am. If you don't like the food that much, you will still be able to have your chicken strips. If you really like the food, you won't miss the chicken strips for that day. Or you could have some as a late lunch :).

Just updating on my old thread. I asked Guest Services if they could substitute anything for the free Palo meal for platinum members on our last cruise and they could not. They were very nice and asked us again about going to Palo - we don't have much interest and we did not bring any nice clothes on our cruise. They said the clothes would not be a problem and invited us to eat there again, but we decided to enjoy the MDRs as we lucked out and had a nice table to ourselves (table #1 on the Magic). Our MDR staff was the best we have ever had. It was an amazing cruise! We decided on our next one - a 3 day Dream 11/30 that will try Palo once just to check it out.

I'm glad you had a great time!!! Love our private tables.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your cruise! I believe that you had previously started a thread about footwear in Palo because you had above-average looking sneakers/tennis shoes. Please don't let the dress code hold you back. My husband and I are so casual in our every day clothes (shorts, sweats, t-shirts, etc.), we do not own traditional formal clothing, and we enjoy Palo very much. You can certainly wear a nice pair of jeans, a nice shirt (polo should be fine), and see if they will let you in with the shoes you own. If not, I believe they can lend you a pair for the time you are dining. Believe me, as soon as our Palo meal is over, we change right back into our casual clothes.
