Can you top this tip?

My Top Tips:
1. Stay on Property
2. Avoid EMH days
3. make at least one trip in a lifetime during value season so dont' have to do rope drop, fight crowds, run amuck like a mad man.

That's close to #1.
But #1is leave all relatives at home!!!!

I would say - IF, and it's a big if, you like your relies and do not put unrealistic expectations on them/their behavior (it wont magically change cuz you are at the most magical place in the world), Grandparents especially - BRING THEM if your kids are under 8!!!! They are awesome helpers and provide many great breaks for Mom and Dad to party at the park/lounge/swim/relax while the little people get much needed sleep and time away from the chaos and excitement.

If your in-laws or parents were like mine many would be clammering for them to join. And I am the planner and person who decides most if not all of our plans - they happily follow what I have planned and "do what's best for the kids" I feel VERY blessed to have them! Now let's hope they do not decide to prove me wrong this March! Fingers Crossed!

Cannot beat being there at rope drop though ;)

Sydnerella's Mama - and they do not even read this website so I am not sucking up as much as it sounds like it!

I am pretty sure we don't have anything like that in Indiana but it's fine because I honestly enjoy sorting them!

It's a photo of the cast of LOST on the Tower of Terror! I have no idea how they got such an awesome photo but I love it.

Ahhh.....I stay a long way away from TOT, so I guess that's why I didn't recognize the ride.

I'm in southern Indiana and my bank does have a coin machine. We're already working on our change jar for our March trip. We do this for any of our trips - even as small as Kings Island - and a full jar brings home over $200! I just use all dollars and don't scramble for change when using cash for anything.

Which bank is it? I'm in Central Indiana and I'm almost positive none of the banks around do it but I can always double check!

We have a TD bank here (used to be Commerce) and they have a coin machine you just pour your coins into. You get a printout and go to the teller and get the money in bills. I don't even go to that bank and it doesn't matter. Anyone can use the machines. That's one way I save for trips. I never spend my change and convert it into bills for vacation spending money.

Don't eat yellow snow.:confused3

That's great. :thumbsup2

My tip is to wear comfortable shoes. And, start 'training' for your trip at least a month before your trip. Start with walks with your kids, maybe even some jogging for you (kiddos if they're older). That way you have the stamina to walk all through the parks. You'll enjoy everything more if you're not hurting and out of wind. :rotfl:

Rope drop is a good one, but nothing beats...

"Be" a Florida resident.

Even if you don't live there, you can be a "part-year resident." Do a little searching online, and figure out how to buy (rent) some Florida address and "live" there six months out of the year.

This gives you access to FL resident discounts, special admission media, and a host of other benefits.

Google it - you'll be glad you did!

And it's amazing how few people actually do it.

Thank goodness for the late sleepers, bless their sleepy little hearts. :rotfl2:

Completely respectful of all you happy early thrill ride enthusiasts, in all of our trips we have never made even one rope drop - maybe that is something to shoot for this trip . We are not late risers, maybe slow starters is a better term, but the thought of racing to RRC or SM first thing in the am makes me want to throw up as opposed to jump up and down in excitement. As always, different strokes for different folks.

My "best" tip ...

take the time to stop and smell the roses.

This is suppose to be a vacation. I see families frantically dragging their kids around the parks with looks of misery on their faces. When they get home, they need another vacation from the experience and talk poorly about WDW because they didn't take the time to truly enjoy it. It's not going anywhere! It still surprises me how neurotic and honestly pushy people get at WDW (usually newbies).

We ALWAYS make sure to plan a "resort day" (usually when we plan to attend an Evening EMH). You've paid all this money for this wonderful resort, take advantage of it's amenities. We wake-up late, swim in the pool and maybe even venture to other resorts to check-out the ground and restaurants.

Don't burn the candle at both ends by trying to stay up late at a park and then getting to rope drop the next morning. You can physically make yourself sick. No one wants to be sick at WDW.

Have a magical trip y'all! :wizard:
