Can you tell me all about Oct at WDW?

Besides MNSSHP, what else goes on during October? We may be going Oct 1-8. What special events (if any), parades, activities are there? Any tips? This would be our first time going then.

One of my very dear friends will only go in October. She says it is the best time of the year. She says the weather is nice, the parks are not crowded and the park hours are still reasonable.

The Food and Wine Festival at Epcot!

I was there during that time frame last year and it was great. The parks were not overly crowded and there were plenty of things to experience like the Food and Wine Festival and the MNSSHP. I also remember it being ver hot while we were there. It was in the low-mid 90s at the start of our stay and by the end of the stay it was in the low 90s high 80s.

October is my favorite time to go. I like a little later in Oct. The F&WF is not to be missed! The weather is absolutely sublime.
