Can you take refillable drink mugs to resort hotel dinners for DP use?

We are trying the dining plan this time for convenience. Its actually cheaper for us to book the dining plan NOT during the "free thats not really free" dining promotion but thats another story.

My question is, since we can get alcoholic beverages on the dining plan, when we eat at resort hotels can we take our refillable mugs with us and just fill them before we eat? That way we can just get alcohol on the DP?

No. Refillable mugs are not meant to be used at TS restaurants. Well - at least I feel it would be frowned upon and certainly not something I would do.

I also just spoke to a rep online but wanted to confirm here too, if we have a 4 day/3 night stay....we get 3 nights worth of DP credits per person but they can be used over the course of the 4 days? The rep did say this was the case but I know they can be off sometimes. If so, this would make it worthwhile to upgrade to the DDDP for us (foodie trip).

Yes...dining credits are good from your check-in day until midnight of your check-out day.

Can the mugs be used at QS food courts of resorts other than your own?

For us the mugs are of little value. We are at the parks all day and only use them only occasionally in the morning or when we return late at night. Plus they hold so little!!!!

Yes.

I just wouldn't recommend bringing a full mug to drink at a table service restaurant. Fill and drink before or after the restaurant sure.

I agree, generally, but we (and many others) fill and bring them into beaches and cream every time we go there. Considering they refill them 10 feet from our table in the place at the takeout counter and every other person in there just came in from the pool, also, I don't feel bad doing it at all. I wouldn't bring them into yachtsman Steakhouse though. It just depends. Overall, I don't see a big deal with it.
