Can you switch cleaning days?

Does anyone know if you can change your full cleaning day?

I have an 8 night reservation, so our full clean would be on day 4. But we are planning to spend time in our room that day (with our dog). We will be taking a day trip the next day and will be away from our room all day (we already have a reservation somewhere so we can't switch these days).

Can we change our full cleaning day from day 4 to day 5?

Hope you don't mind my piggybacking on this. Is it cleaning every 4 days in a DVC space? If we check in on Monday for four nights does that mean they clean on Thursday the day before we check out? If so, I'd def want them to come a day earlier, only makes sense. Thanks.

Edited because I realized I didn't answer your question. You can always call housekeeping to ask if they can change your "trash & towel" day to 1 day earlier.

From https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/faq/resort-reservations/housekeeping-cleaning-schedule

(Note that your check-in day counts as day 1)

"Housekeeping Information for Disney Vacation Club Resorts:

For stays of 7 or less consecutive nights in the same Vacation Home, the Disney Vacation Club Resort will provide a “Trash & Towel” service on the fourth consecutive day of the stay.

For stays of 8 or more nights, Full Cleaning Service is provided on day 4 and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day 8 (after which the cycle begins again on day 12). This service schedule applies regardless of whether you are using a Member-discounted cash reservation, Vacation Points, or a combination of both."

I just realized, on our recent VGF trip I requested an extra full cleaning of our GV one day because one of our daughters was leaving and our other daughter arriving, so we wanted everything to be fresh. I was prepared to be charged for this but they didn’t charge us any extra.

My last stay was for 12 nights, and there was going to be a full cleaning the day before we checked out (on the 12th day) so I called and told them to skip it. They seemed flexible in the scheduling and for me I was glad to not have the intrusion on the last full day there. Just saying that my experience is they're flexible. Sometimes the schedule feels a little wonky given the typical guest stay... seems like a legacy thing more than anything.
