We have been to the following restaurants/snack spots, most are our favorites so we keep going back. Please share a pleasant experience at a restaurant not on this list, with the exception of V&A's which I would love to go to but I don't think my 2 teenage DD's would enjoy it.

Get yourself to the following places:

Boma at AKL - YUM! They have African inspired foods and the old standbys (prime rib, chicken, etc) and the desserts - to die for! I am talking about dinner here, but I have heard breakfast is rather impressive too.

Restaurant Marrakesh - in Morocco at Epcot. Very interesting food without being too exotic. I had the Royal Feast which was basically a sampling of just about every appetizer, entree an dessert on the menu. You don't have to go all out, but it was really good food, like I said, without being too exotic.

Hollywood and Vine - yeah, it's a buffet, but the vintage look it tries to convey makes you feel great. Have only been for lunch and dinner, but never have had a bad meal here. ALways something for everyone. Is it gourmet? No. Are there interesting foods? Yes. Are there basics that everyone will eat? yes. It's a fun place to take a break, have some food, relax and see characters.

My two favorite restaurants aren't on your list.....The California Grill and The Flying Fish. Both are a little pricey but excellent. Both have open kitchens where depending on your seat, you can watch the 'goings on'....which I enjoy. I see where The Flying Fish recently changed head chefs so I am curious how it will change (if at all).

My wife swears that the steak at The Flying Fish is the best she has ever had. I prefer The California Grill just because I feel it has a more varied menu and more choices. Plus the view from the top of the Contemporary is worth the visit all by itself.

If you like steak, go to Shula's in the Dolphin. By far the best steak on property. It's a la carte and pricey but well worth it.

I would suggest Crystal Palace and the House of Blues. Both have great food and great atmosphere. We have eaten at both multiple times and never been disappointed!

Eeyore2U - You know I have never really considered this restaurant but posts I have read (from yourself) and others who I would consider in the know make me feel like I'm missing out on something. Do you know off hand if they have a childrens menu. If you don't, that's fine I can always look it up myself on Deb's site.

Rob_b - WaaWaaWaa (that's me crying like a baby) For our trip in August I had Ps's for Calf. Grill for my B-day and Jiko's the following night, but we had moved over to AKL concierge for the last 3 days of our trip and never left the place once we got there. Even though Jiko's is right there we were totally satisfied from the offerings put out by the concierge. (loved this hotel even though we had to go from a 2 bedroom at BCV to a reg. hotel room - this place is the greatest) I'm definitely makng and keeping PS's for Calf. Grill, I think I'll save Jiko's for the next time we stay at AKL.

GenePA - I think I will add Flying Fish, we are staying at BWV and you can't get any more convenient than that. We are going in May I'll let you know how the new chef is (not that I can compare him to the old one) if you're not down before us.

zulaya - I have always been interested in trying Restaurant Marrakesh but have been afraid to. This rest. and Restaurant Akershus always got the better than you think, and a must try kind of comments from a lot of posters. So we tried Akershus and hated it (sorry all you fans it just wasn't for us) in any case I believe we will give it a try for lunch this time around.

Crystal Palace is a buffet with character.. it's very good!
You have to go to Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square for desert! The best Apple cobbler and caramel popcorn!

I would suggest breakfast at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. They have TONS of choices, and the food is delicious! Yum!

Another vote for Marrakesh. We had lunch there last summer, and it was so good. DH and I both had dinners that included several things, and b/c it was lunch, it wasn't very expensive. Mine had both the chicken and beef appetizers, which are just wonderful. I also loved the mint tea. DH loves Akershus, so we always go there, but this place suits me much better.

Alice Sr. Crystal Palace is a buffet and includes a child's buffet as well. I have never been to the Gospel Brunch for House of Blues but I have heard good things about it. Their food is excellent so add in the entertainment I think it would definitely be something worth trying!

We really enjoyed the Trail's End buffet at Ft. Wilderness. I had my 2 teenage nieces with me, and they loved it. Good food, casual atmosphere, plenty of choices. Hope to go back sometime.

You guys sound like us, trying everything, but still keep going back to your favorites.

We love turkey legs at the lunching pad in MK for lunch or a snack.

Restaurant Marrekesh for lunch/dinner.

Give some of the resort restaurants a try for dinner, Artist Point (delicious), Boma, Jiko, Flying Fish...all yummy and worth the trip over.

From the variety of restaurants you have tried...I bet your dd's would love V&A's if it is within your budget. The food is really nothing out of the ordinary...just simply spectacular.

Pizzafari has very good pizza, but I prefer Tusker House.

MK- Crystal Palace. The breakfast and lunch are great, so I assume the dinner is just as wonderful!

Epcot- Rose and Crown!!!!

MGM- H&V lunch is so cute, minnie and goofy swing dancing!

Jiko!!!!!!!!!

If you are going to Le Cellier for steak, try Shula's at Dolphin, Yachtsman at Yacht Club and Concourse Steakhouse at Contemporary in that order, then Le Cellier.

Did you list Artist Point at WL or Jiko at AKL. Both are first rate. The head chef at Jiko is from Artist Point.

Flying Fish at BW is another favorite as is Fulton's at DD.

JimC - Actually we went to Le Cellier to try the cheese soup and pretzel bread. I had steak and lobster and the girls had chicken, they are not big red meat eaters which is probably why Shula's hasn't been on our list in the past. I believe I will add Shula's to our PS's, we have never investigated the S&D and it's a nice walk from the BWV. Thanks for your input.

Eeyore2U - Thanks for your offer re:the children's menu, that would be great. I am going to go ahead and make PS's here, after looking at the menu I know my 15 yr old would order the snapper and my 12 yr old would be happy with the chicken. If I were smart I would not order anything and just finish their's. And of course the creme brulee is a must (a family addiction)

eeyore0062 - Is Tempura Kiku next to Teppanyaki's? Is there a sushi counter there as well? My 12 yr old is crazy about sushi, my 15 yr old and I could do without, but if we could order tempura this might be a nice supprise. Teppanyaki is always on our PS list, Japan is one of our all time favorite countries at Epcot.

webray - I believe they would love the food at V&A's but I'm not sure they would appreciate the time factor. Two hours for them would be like grounding them for half the night
