Totally agree. On Popeye, it depends on where you sit. You will get wet on both rides no matter what.

Also wanted to add: Popeye at IA is the best designed, funnest "river rapids" ride I've ever been on. I don't even go on the one at Disney Animal Kingdom anymore as it is so dissapointing in comparison.
If you wear a rain poncho, you "might" stay sort of dry, depending on random chance of where you are sitting when the waves come overboard.

Totally agree - not even a close competition. Also wanted to add: Popeye at IA is the best designed, funnest "river rapids" ride I've ever been on. I don't even go on the one at Disney Animal Kingdom anymore as it is so dissapointing in comparison.
The $0.25 water cannons at the end of Dudley defeat any hopes of being in a "less wet seat"I've gotten soaked on both....I was pretty dry last time I went on Popeyes, however, I was the only dry one on the ride. I was in the front for Dudleys and got DRENCHED, so I think it just depends on where you sit. However, if I had to pick one, it would be Popeyes!
Indeed, the second drop tends to be wetter than the last drop. But that's all part of the fun! However, Dudley has the potential to be very wet, especially if someone is manning the water cannons. In fact, in the three times I rode it, the second drop (there are four if I remember right, aging, don't you know) was the wettest as water rebounded from the side and poured over the side of the log. This succeeded in soaking my left leg and foot every time. The final splash for me was not that wet, however, I never got the front seat, I was always in the fourth or fifth seat.

Dudley Do or Popeye's? My DH and I think Popeye's but my nephews say Dudley Do. If yesterday were an indication, I would be right - but I wanted to ask the experts. Generally speaking, on which ride do you get wettest?
THANKS!!!
I brought rain ponchos then remembered someone on this board saying that the best thing to do was wear your swimsuit and stow your clothes. We looked silly but not as silly as the folks who thought they were going to be able to keep all that water out with rain ponchos. Rain ponchos work on Popeye the way they work in a swimming pool -- they don't.Me and my boyfriend got soaked on Popeye last year, and we were wearing rain ponchos!!
A couple looked at us extremelly wet even with the ponchos and gave up riding it!!
