Can you see the the 'real world' from DVC/WDW?

Any resort that gets you above the tree line is going to provide a line of sight well beyond Reedy Creek. Request a low floor to avoid.

AKV is on the SW corner alongside 192. BLT is on the northern edge. Both afford "outside the world" views from the upper floors.

I read your other thread Jim that you are at BLT now in a Lakeview villa that also has view over to MK; can you see much of the outside world from that outside crescent of BLT ?
thanks :)

We stayed on the top floor of Jambo house overlooking the pool and out in the distance at night I saw the neon of some sign, but, I pretended it wasn't there!;)

Yes. You can see the tops of other area resort landmarks in the distance, some offstage areas of Disney and some of the non-Disney development beyond Reedy Creek. It is not distracting at all and certainly not something that intrudes (IMO) on the beautiful view of the lake or MK. If you have been to the California Grill, you probably have seen what I am talking about.

Last summer we stayed in a standard view studio at Kidani and I could see the commercial buildings quite easily on 192 - even the Target. No binoculars or craning my neck funny to see it either. It was right there in my face. :goodvibes

That's why from now on it's either savannah view or Jambo house standard view when I stay at AKV. :thumbsup2
