Can you see the haunted houses during the day?

We are going to Universal (first time) next week. We are not doing HHN, the kids are still a little too young (10&12) We will be at Universal at least 1 or 2 days. Will we be able to see any of the houses from the outside? OR are they blocked off somehow during the day? Just curious.

The only things you'll see during the day are the props for the scarezones...no houses.

They used to offer a daytime behind the scenes tour of some of the haunted houses, but that was unfortunately shelved this year

It was a great opportunity for those that were a little "iffy" about going through the houses at night a chance to see what really is in the houses and how the scares work. It was also a good opportunity to see just how much detail is actually put into the houses - something you really can't see during the event at night. Hopefully they'll bring the tour back next year!
