It just depends on what you get, some of the garden view rooms, if you look out to the right or left on the balcony, can also see it. The Polynesian is a wonderful resort though, don't base your decision on just whether you get a castle view room or not![]()
Exactly which longhouse were you in? Virtually all the Hawaii rooms can see the castle, along with the Tahiti rooms. I heard that the 2 lagoon view rooms at the end of one longhouse had slightly obstructed views, but that's the lot. As Tikimans site states "90% of the lagoon view rooms have great views of the Magic Kingdom" --- yes, I know "Magic Kingdom" does not include the castle, but almost all the rooms can see the castle, even if partially obstructed.freediverdude said:Well, I don't know if I would say virtually all the lagoon view rooms do, since mine didn't and it looked like others in the same building probably didn't because of an island in the lake

Wondering, can you see the Castle from the Poly?
Thanks!
DizWacko said:Some Poly rooms are partially obstructed by trees or that island near the GF. I was in Tuvalu lagoon view, I could see the castle but only the very top of it because the island blocked it. Stayed in Tahiti, partially blocked by a palm tree but much better than Tuvalu.
The GF (and CR) castle and MK views are MUCH MUCH Better than the Poly because they are so much closer to the castle than the Poly, but there are fewer of these rooms at GF than at Poly
ducklite said:I TOTALLY disagree with this statement. I've stayed direct castle view at Conch Key (GF) twice, and lagoon view Hawaii Building twice, and the view from the PR is most definitely nicer and more direct.

Direct view, this matters how?
freediverdude said:Yes, I was ground floor in Tuvalu. Those rooms, and I think that building might be 10 rooms across, probably don't have a view of the castle. I don't know about the 2nd and 3rd floors. I might have been able to see the very very tip top, I thought I saw something pointing up above the island, but it's not a castle view. But as usual, I get the very worst view of any room category that I book, so I absolutely have to book the minimum I'll be happy with. And I paid very big bucks for me (maybe not for other people), the highest I've ever paid for a room, for that room. I wish just once I could get the views that other people rave about at these places, but I choose not to be "mr. nasty" at the front desk.
