I was reading in one of my Disney books and they said that some rooms after the woods view offer views of MK? But when I call WL and reservations the tell me it doesn't. I'm confused. Anyone have pictures they can share of what from MK you can see from your room at WL? I would perfer this over the parking lots before the castle at Contemporary.

Thanks.
Amy

Technically - no, but, we stayed ther many years ago and got a woods view, and I woke up one night and looked out the window, and I could see in the distance the top of Cinderellas Castle, it lit up the sky!!! It was definately worth waking up to see!

No. If you pay for a woods view room and request the room to be on the north side of the lodge on an upper floor (5th or 6th), there is a good chance that will be able to see the MK. Please keep in mind that this is just a request, though.

I made this request, and we had a room on the third floor on the north side. We could see fireworks and the monorail through the trees. The view from the upper floors is better. Someone here has posted some good shots.

The woods view rooms on the other side of the lodge face the villas (VWL).

Have a great trip!

You can actually see more of the MK from the STANDARD view rooms on floors 5 and 6 of the WL, on the NORTH side of the lodge.

I had room 6042 "standard view" in February with a great view of Space Mtn, the Castle, the tops of the Big Thunder Mtn., and the Contemporary, monorail, and ferry boats.

We could see the fireworks perfectly from our beds at night.

It was awesome!

While I've never seen the view of MK from WL, I honestly can't imagine that it could in any way compare to the AMAZING view from CR. CR is so close, you feel like you're practically IN MK, and somehow, you don't notice the parking lot at all. Plus, if you book a tower room with a theme park view, you're pretty much "guaranteed" to get one...while at WL, it's just a request.

If anyone can post a picture of what the castle looked like from their room at WL, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I know people say you just look over the parking lot at CR, but that is just way too much parking lot for me to pay $465 a night for after tax. Only my opinion though, I know many people love it.

Do any of the rooms that have castle views on the northside woods view have bunk beds? I need that with 2 girls who squirm and kick all night.:rotfl:

Yes they do. We visited friends staying at the WL in Aug and they were staying in a woods view room with bunk beds. In the evening you could see Wishes at the MK from their room.

By any chance do you know what the room number was? I'll try to put in a request for that room. Thanks in advance.

Mom2taylorandemily- Do you remember me? How have you been doing? When are you going to the Lodge- we'll be there in Feb. Hope things are getting a little easier for you.

I spoke with our friends and they do not remember their room number. Even though there were lots of trees blocking the view of the MK, you could still see the fireworks over the trees at night if you are on the top floor. I would recommend adding "firework/MK view" to your room reservation (assuming that you have a woodsview room) rather than a specific room number because you will have a better chance of getting what you want.

Can you see MK at all from Wilderness Lodge?

1) The answer is "What do you mean?".
2) If you mean seeing fireworks, yes, there are several rooms with that view.
3) If you mean seeing the tops of the castle & SM, yes, there are a few.
4) If you mean seeing much of the park, the answer is no.
