We are not attending the Candlelight Processional but I was wondering if you can see or hear any of it if you are near the American showcase while it is going on...is it blocked off so that you can only see if you are in the seating area or could we see part of it from the outskirts?

::MickeyMo I actually performed in the Processional a few years back. I'm sure you can hear; everything is microphoned and it's an open theatre. However, it may be difficult to see as I do remember seeing people standing in the background. I couldn't see past the wall of people in the back to see the park guests walking around or anything. I'd make an effort to sit and watch, it's really amazing. ::MinnieMo

It takes place in the big open air theatre, so, yes, you can see everything from the walkway by America.

The Candlelight Procession is a free event, that is visible as you walk by and you can stand and watch. The only charges for the event is if you book the Candlelight Procession Package, which you pay for dinner and it gives you a reserved area to sit in for the show, but the rest of the "arena" is open to whom ever waits in the other line.
