Can you see cash room availability online?

For those who have run out of points and want to book a cash DVC room, can you see availability online or only by calling MS? If I see a room available on the Disney site for cash, does that mean I can book it through DVC MS for cash for a discount or is it completely separate availability?

You have to call.

And like everything else, if you see it on the public site for cash it may not be available for DVC cash discount.

Agree with both previous posters. You will have to call MS to check cash availability.

Cash available rooms are in the developer inventory, not member inventory, and the availability varies greatly. The more DVC members that are exchanging for DCL, Concierge Collection or Disney Hotels (which require moving the reservations' worth of points inventory from member inventory over to developer inventory to sell for cash via DRC in order to pay cash for the members' non-DVC reservations. Hope that makes sense! ), the more cash inventory will be available.

There is no guarantee that if you book a cash room through DVC that you will get the 25% member discount. Why and when they apply the discount is still a mystery.
