Can you request rotation ahead of time?

Can you ask for a certain rotation, or do you have to wait til onboard to change? Is it easy to get what you want if you ask after on-board?

I have managed to put in a request for a particular dining rotation but that was it, only a request and no guarantee. I haven't sailed yet so I can't tell you how easy it is to change if you don't get your prefered rotation. Hope this helps!
