Can you request Magical Express two days before your reservation?

Hello. Flying into MCO but staying in another person's room for two days before my own four night reservation kicks in. Can I reserve magical express for Tuesday, even though my Disney resort ressie doesn't start until Thursday? Please note that I will add my name to the other person's resort reservation ONCE I arrive on property. If I do it before hand (and actually the TA controls the ressie)...I am afraid they will charge her for me for her entire 7 day reservation.

In other words, I'm staying with her for two days (as the third person) before my own ressie in the same hotel starts. Her reservation goes Monday-Monday......My own ressie goes Thur-Monday, but I am flying in on Tuesday and staying with her for two nights.

I am willing to pay the $25 per night onto her reservation once I get there (for two nights)....but don't want to be charged for seven nights. Thanks.

Your name will have to be on a reservation the day you take magical express (Before you ride the bus). They will confirm that you are on a reservation upon arrival to magical express.

How early are you arriving? Your friend can add you once she arrives to property on Monday and then while you won't be able to get luggage tags you can then walk up to the ME counter and using the reservation number get on the right bus.

Like pp said your name needs to already be on the reservation in order to reserve DME.

When your friend arrives at Disney on Monday, they can then add you to the reservation for only the time you will be in that room. That would then give you the ability to use DME when you arrive on Tuesday. This is the only way it can be done. If you are not on the reservation for that day, then you can't use DME.

She should add you on Monday, when she arrives. Then, when you fly in Tuesday, voila, there you are on the reservation

A YES to the above, I've done it.

I arrived before DS a few times, added him at check in and they then added him to MDE for his arrival day.

As all others have said, you aren't getting DME unless you are on a confirmed room reservation and you can prove it when you get there--i.e., on your Magicband. If all else fails, you can do the return DME and do Uber, or as I've done, Super Shuttle--takes longer, but better price, for the getting there part.

You also need to book DME in advance, when your friend checks in and adds you to her room reservation, she can and should register you for DME.
