Can you rent wheel chairs at Disney? Bad back

I do not use a wheel chair on a regular basis, just occasionally. I have a bad back and may need a wheel chiar to last thorugh an entire week at Disney.

Do they rent wheeel chairs?

You can rent wheel chairs at the parks. For infornation about companies that provide length of stay rentals, go to the DISabilities board and ask there. They should know some good companies that will have a chair waiting for you at your resort.

Yes, if you are staying at a Disney resort you can get a wheelchair for your entire stay from the lobby concierge at the front desk. They will ask for a CC to guarantee it, but there is no charge and you can keep it for your entire stay. If you are not staying at a Disney hotel, the parks rent them for a daily fee, you can get one when you arrive, if you need it.

If you follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES Board and then look in the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of the board, you will find information about the various ways of getting a wheelchair - having one lent by your resort, renting at the parks and renting from an off-site equipment company.
One little note about borrowing from the resorts; the wheelchairs are first come, first served and can't be reserved ahead of time; they may not have any to lend out when you arrive. If you plan to request one from the resort, it's still a good idea to bring the numbers of the off-site places with you.
