Can you rent a tux without a vest?

We were really hoping df could wear a suit but I can't seem to find somewhere to rent...I guess we are going to have to go with a tux. We still want it on the informal side so I am thinking a tux cut more like a suit and scrap the vest/cumberband and just do a regular tie.

Is this doable?

when i went to MW Tux they told me I could. I don't like the vest offering in my color. DFi wants a tux so he's getting and the bridal party simple tuxes. He'll have a solid tie and bridal party will have striped and dads will have a different color solid.

Yes. We didn't get any vests - we preferred the look of a cummerbund.
