Can you tell me a Boston or Boston area hotel you would recommend? Interested in children's activities somewhat nearby. Does anyone know anything about The Eliot Suite Hotel? Also, have you been to the Boston Children's Museum? What children's activities would you suggest?
Thanks!!!
Chris

Chris,
I recommend the Seaport Hotel. For kids activities...
Boston Duck Tours
Frog Pond
Swan Boats (really cheap, but fun!)
Childrens Museum
Outside the childrens museum there is a ship and they recreate the Tea Party.
I'll post more if i think of any...(my mind is fried cause of the heat!!)

Definitely Duck tours....the children's museum(my kids love it!), the Boston Aquarium, The Science Museum, they have a version of the freedom trail for little feet....also the double Decker bus tours. A tour of the USS Constitution.

I would stay in Boston....either by Fanuel Hall and the water front or by Copley Square...JMHO :)

Have not heard of the Eliot sorry...

The Boston Harbor Hotel is very nice and is right next to the New England Aquarium. The aquarium just built a new IMAX theater and is showing the new 3D International Space Station film narrated by Tom Cruise. IT IS AWESOME!!!!! It is also a quick walk to Faniuel Hall Marketplace. Definitely take a Duck Tour and I strongly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance, since these sell out very fast. It is a rally cool way of seeing the city. Let's see, what else.... The Museum of Science is neat and has some really great OMNI films. Finally, the Children's Museum is fun for kids as well. Oh, one more thing. If you don't mind walking, you can do the Freedom Trail.

The Midtown Hotel is older but a good value. It has free parking which is unusual in Boston. It is on the Green T line and just a short walk from the art museum.

I was never there with little kids but the science museum was great for all ages. Lots of hands on displays.

WELCOME to BOSTON, This is also a nice time of the year for the Swan boats. That is different then the duck tours. Excuse my ignorance to all these things, my little boy is going to be 20 next month. ARGH, I miss those young days. :D

Quack - Quack - my kids LOVED the Duck Tour.

We also walked most of the Freedom Trail. It was hot! We even figured out the subway, so proud of ourselves!!

Dh just finished John Adams by McCullough and we toured all the Adams' houses in Quincy.

P.S. Don't wear your New York Yankees hats! But since you are from LI, I'm betting you are a Mets fan. Not sure about those.
