Day 3--Wednesday, November 30th
Goofy4Tink and I woke up early to head over to Spoodles. We both decided to get the breakfast platter, which included scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, and potatoes (we both skipped the sausage). We both agreed that the food was very good, although it could have been a bit warmer.
After breakfast, we had some time to kill before the 9:00 a.m. annual meeting for Boardwalk Villas owners, so we walked over to the Yacht & Beach Club to check out their Christmas displays. I always love looking at the chocolate carousel at the Beach Club, and the mountain village at the Yacht Club.
We then headed over to the Boardwalk for the DVC annual meeting. It was interesting to hear about how my dues money were spent, and what improvements they are hoping to make in the coming year at the Boardwalk. I was also thrilled to hear that DVC members will be able to get the Disney dining plan in the future.
After the meeting, I went to the Boardwalk boat dock to say a quick hello to my DIS friend OneCat and his family. I was amazed to see how much his kids have grown since the last time I saw them.
Goofy4Tink and I headed over to the Magic Kingdom. We decided to head back towards Splash and Thunder Mountains. On our way there, we grabbed a fast pass for the Jungle Cruise. After our rides on Splash and Thunder, we went on the Jungle Cruise.
We then got a call that PandyPaws was in the park, so we agreed to meet her at the Partners Statue. We took a ride on Space Mountain, and sat down to chat for a while we munched on stuffed pretzels at the Lunching Pad. We then took a ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. We then headed into Fantasyland to see Mickeys Philharmagic.
Goofy4Tink and I then left the park so we could swing back to the hotel before we had to meet WebmasterKathy for the Candlelight Processional. Goofy4Tink was transitioning to her own room that day, so she stayed behind to get settled while I walked over to Epcot to meet up with WebmasterKathy.
WebmasterKathy is always saying that she needs a tiara, so I finally bought her one to shut her up. I picked up a light up princess tiara for Kathy, and I gave it to her when I saw her. She immediately put it on her head, and got immediate reaction to it when we sat down on the ground to watch Off Kilter. Jamie (the bagpiper) said, Wed like to welcome the princess to the show.
After Off Kilter, we headed over to see Epcot Vybe at the Christmas tree. Much to my delight, two of my favorite Epcot Vybe guys, Jeff and Ryan, were singing that day. They did a quick ten minute set of holiday favorites.
We then did a bit of shopping before heading over to LeCellier to meet up with Goofy4Tink. While we waited for our table, we were entertained by one of the hosts at the restaurant. He played with some of those sticks you can buy in China, did some magic tricks, and even got everyone waiting to sing a Christmas song or two.
When we were seated at our table, the server noticed the DIS pins on Goofy4Tinks bag, and said that she was a DISer as well--EvilQueen. Boy, did she get a crazy group of DISers at one of her table this night.
Since we were on a Candlelight Processional package, we would be eating big this evening. I got cheddar cheese soup and a ceasar salad. WebmasterKathy and Goofy4Tink both got the tomato stack. We all opted for the filet mignon for our entrée. For dessert, WebmasterKathy got chocolate cake, Goofy4Tink got the maple crème brulee, and I got the Smores. I was like a little kid eating my Smores. I ate them entirely with my fingers. We all enjoyed our meal--great food and great company.
After dinner, we started making our way over to the theatre for the Candlelight Processional. On the way there, we ran into more DIS friends--KristaTX, KayTX, and Towncrier. They told us that they saw CrazyBoutDisney, and DaveH in the line to get in already. I stopped up and said hello to CrazyBoutDisney and DaveH.
Phil Donahue was the narrator that night, and he was an OK narrator, but not nearly as good as the ones I have seen in the past--Jim Cavizel, Colin Raye, Charles Kimbrough, and Louis Gosset Jr. But the show was still as moving as ever with the beautiful choir.
After the Candlelight Processional, we made our way out of the park. Kathy and I headed over to Jellyrolls, while Diane went back to her room to crash. OneCat and his wife met us there as well. As soon as I walked into the door of the bar, I saw one of Scottys brothers walking towards me, and another of his brothers waving at me. They were sitting with a woman who I later found out was Scottys sister, who I had never met before.
One of the funniest moments of the night at Jellyrolls came when someone requested Que Cera Cera. Scotty began to sing it, and at the same time, Kathy happened to pull her tiara out of her bag. I grabbed it from her, and walked over to Scotty with the tiara outstretched. He said, What do you want? I said, We want you to wear a tiara while you sing this song. He said, Im not wearing a tiara. Ray wound up grabbing the tiara and putting it on Scottys head. I dont think Ill ever get the image of Scotty singing When I was just a little girl while wearing a tiara out of my head. I tried to tell Ray that the tiara would light up, but he said that would be fine. Then Scotty says, Im not taking anymore crap from you lady.
Kathy and the OneCats left the bar at midnight. Scottys sister was nice enough to invite me to join their table for the rest of the evening. I had spent a bit of time with his brothers on previous trips, and it was nice to chat with them again. I really enjoyed meeting his sister as well. One of the funniest things I heard the entire trip was Scottys sister saying, You really need to meet our parents someday. It will explain everything.
At the end of the night, I walked out of the bar with Scottys sister and her friends. I chatted with them until Scotty came out of the bar, and said good night to all of them before heading back up to my room to crash. Another fun day at Walt Disney World.
