Can you re-freeze frozen spinach and peas?

Hi all. I'm making stuffed shells for Thanksgiving, and am going to be making them ahead and freezing them so I don't have to work so hard actually ON Thanksgiving . Here's my question.... can I cook and then re-freeze frozen spinach and frozen peas? There wouldn't be any reason why I couldn't, right? I'm going to be sautee-ing broccoli, frozen spinach, and frozen peas together with pesto sauce, garlic, salt and pepper, then mixing it all together in the food processor and then stuffing pasta shells with the mixture to freeze again. The green stuff should all be ok right?

Yes, it's fine to cook frozen food and then refreeze it in the "cooked" stage.

You just can't "defrost" frozen stuff and then stick it back in the freezer without cooking it. The reason is that the "defrost" phase allows bacteria to flourish, which are eliminated during the "cook" phase.

um, i KNOW what the 'experts' say but that is not true. As long as there are ice crystals still in the food, it can be refrozen safely.

if it is still frozen, I would not consider it defrosted
