We're going for a very short trip in October. It will be 4 adults(2 of whom have never been to WDW!), and 3 kids. I want to be sure to give them all the highlights but I don't want to be completely run ragged either. Can you please tell me if this plan looks o.k. for us?

Thurs.: Arrive in a.m.
MGM for afternoon
Boma's at 6:30

Fri: CP breakfast at 8:05
MK
Epcot late afternoon/evening, eat at Food & Wine festival

Sat: AK
'OHana's at 5:30
MK for Spectro at 8:00, Wishes at 9:00

Sun: MK or Epcot (not sure yet)
MGM for Fantasmic at 7:00

We usually tour the parks from opening to about 2:00, go back for a swim/freshen up, and head back out around 4-4:30.
My concern is SpectroMagic Saturday night. Am I crazy to think we can leave the Poly after OHana's and get a spot for SpectroMagic at 8:00?

Thanks for any advice you can give!!

it looks good to me. i think you might be "pushing it" to get to MK for spectro and find a place. also, how old are the children? preschoolers, preteens or teens? are you staying onsite? if so, you might want to consider early entry to the parks. you can get the highlights done before the park opens and then go to another that day if you have a hopper pass. EE works great for us! the dining looks good. are you doing a dinner package for fantasmic?

Hi,
Yes we are staying onsite, so that is why I thought we would do MK again Sunday morning, to get in early. The kids at 8,7 and 3. I realize that we'll have to work around the 3yo, lol! If she's tired and cranky, it's back to the room we go! But she usually is good, will go with the flow, and will snooze in her carriage if tired enough.

Do you think we should do the dinner package for Fantasmic? Where would you recommend we eat? And is it a set price? Thanks!

little guys!! how fun! and the wonder of wdw through their eyes. i have "heard" stories of folks getting in line about 1 1/2 hours before fantasmic. whereas, w/the dinner package there is "reserved" seating. have you looked on deb's site for info? www.allearsnet.com that is a great info site!!

I would definetly look into early entry, though. The 3 year old would probably like Playhouse Disney at MGM, so you may want to check the times for that. When we were there last Oct, we were told that people start lining up pretty early for each showing, because it is very popular. It doesn't look to me like you are overplanning or running anyone ragged. You may even find extra time to park hop on certain days, like the AK day. I think that the kids will be so excited, they may be hesitant to take a break back at the room, especially for 4 days (they can always sleep on the plane back home!)

depending on what time your first day starts (based on travel plans) i would maybe move boma's back to 7pm... by the time you check in, get settled, get over to mgm, you won't have much time there before having to head over to boma... that extra half hour may just make it less stressed!

for the fantasmic dinner package we chose hollywood & vine... we enjoyed it the last time we were there (in '01) and it's buffet w/a separate children's buffet... imo it was the least expensive of the fdp's and offered the most variety and value for our family...
