I'm a newbie at this, so just wondering what some of you veterans think of our itinerary (May 21-29) ...

Friday night -- Leave home; drive through the night
Saturday morning -- Arrive in Orlando mid-morning. Check into off-site hotel. Relax a bit and then head on over to DTD.
Sunday -- Sea World
Monday -- Cape Canaveral and the beach
Tuesday -- Check out of hotel very early and drive to AKL to check in. Then hit AK. Nap and a swim, and then dinner that night at Chef Mickey's.
Wednesday -- MK. Lunch at Crystal Palace. Return to AKL for nap and swim, and then return to MK for fireworks.
Thursday -- Epcot. Daughter has Wonderland Tea Party at the GF that afternoon. Otherwise, no other plans. May head back to Epcot for the night.
Friday -- MGM Studios. No set plans.
Saturday -- Free day. May go to MK again in the morning, and then just relax by the pool that afternoon. May visit some other resorts. May schedule PS for a nice dinner that night.
Sunday -- Check out EARLY, and then head home.

So, what do you guys think? Too much? Too little? Any suggestions?

FYI -- It will be the four of us: dh, me, 5-year-old dd and 2-year-old dd (who will turn 3 while we're at WDW).

TIA for all your thoughts!

I don't know if you are interested but Star Wars weekends start while you are there it is at MGM.
Just a thought

I am actually NOT a Star Wars fan. Actually, quite the other extreme, haha. :teeth: So does this mean I should avoid MGM Studios on Friday, or is that a good day to go since all the fans will be there on the weekends?

Thanks!!!

I would close out the night at least one night at Epcot. Kids love the Illuminations show! :cool1:

Also, if you really want to splurge and have THE most memorable dinner ever for your last night....do the California Grill. Make sure you schedule yourself just prior to when Wishes is set to go so you can have an amazing view of the coolest fireworks show ever.

Otherwise I think you have it just about right.

Your itinerary looks good, but I could not help thinking of Memorial Day weekend crowds. Would it be possible to do the Disney part fo your trip first? We were there the same week last year and it got pretty crowded. Plan to spend a lot of time at MK. It is the park your children will love. Just my thoughts--hope you have a wonderful trip!

We are actually in Orlando the week before Memorial Day. I guess maybe we will hit some holiday crowds on Friday and Saturday? Or is that entire week before Memorial Day Weekend crowded???

Linda

I think you'll find the crowds will build the whole week building up to the Memorial day weekend. If you could go the week prior, I would try that(assuming less crowded attractions are important). :earsboy:
