Can you play a musical instrument?

I learnt and played the recorder when I was at school, but that was many many years ago now!

I would love to learn to play the piano and flute but I doubt it will ever happen.....would be nice though.

What instruments can you play?

I have played bass (guitar and upright) for around 18 years now. I played violin, clarinet, and drums for one year each as well.

I've always wanted to play the piano. I played clairnet and saxophone when I was in high school but only in during the winter concert series. (Proud baton twiler during marching band season! )

Well, if you count my voice as a musical instrument, I excell in that! lol. I did take piano in 2nd grade. In 4th grade, my class learned to play the recorder, and in third the tonette, but all I can remember how to play is "hot crossed buns." lol

YES, you can take up the piano! God bless my parents. They bought us an early "family" Christmas present last fall. A used piano. (It wasn't as much as you might think.) I'm teaching myself to play. Practicing is so much more fun than when you were 10 years old. Just buy a beginners book, some of those removable note stickies for the key, and off ya go!

Bass guitar, upright bass, mandolin, bouzouki, penny whistle and guitar.
But bass is my first and true love. I just learned the opening bass riff to the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back" and slapped it on my Web site. I found out that it was actually played by James Jamerson - THE man when it comes to Motown.
Next I think I'm going to either get a banjo or an accordion. (In case you couldn't tell, I like to play Irish music - thus the mando, 'zouk and penny whistle.)

From the 6th to the 10th grade I played the violin. I was average in my talent for playing it, though I didn't get the hang of practicing it- perhaps that is what slowed me down

I could probably pick the instrument up today and play relatively well even though it's been nearly 10 years since I last played. Reading music might be another story though LOL!

I would love to learn how to play the cello, but I'll probably never learn.

Now when I listen to classical music I have a lot of appreciation for the violinists-some of what they play is extremely difficult and one must have pure talent to play the extremely difficult pieces.

My other "instrument" is my voice, and I can't carry a tune!

Yep I started out on piano. I play flute/piccolo, trumpet/cornet, baritone/euphonium, French Horn, a little trombone and soprano sax and guitar. Of course this doesn't count the recorder or harmonica that I learned how to play in grade school

Yes....and as ABBA would say..."Thank You For the Music"!!! as oftentimes it's provided a wonderful emotional outlet!!!

Voice Major in College....piano, guitar, bass guitar, flute, clarinet, drums,some banjo and then the grade school harmonica, recorder, uke kind of stuff....

I don't get to play as often as I'd like, but enjoy having the outlet. none the less!
